On Hold for Pixel Artist

I am trying to replace all the rtp graphics with custom graphics, but my skills limit what I can do and thus I am seeking a pixel artist to help me out. Sadly this has been a problem before and lead me to continue using resources from rtp...Well I about had it with this half *** game, I want it to be as it should be! So I am frantically looking for pixel artists for hire, but getting nowhere... I tried deviant art, RPG sites, Google... :/ Is this project doomed? I Hired a composer at least ^.^

So sit tight everyone this game may not see the light of day for a lot longer time depending on how long it takes me to get pixel artists to help me do tiles... I am offering commissions if anyone knows pixel artists seeking some extra money in their pocket...

Fixed, but what to do?

Hey all just thought I let you know I got my pc fixed, but I been pondering the story progression in the game...

IDK what to do, I want to rebuild Lands of Lunori story, but starting over is a long step. I could keep all the maps and tie them into a new story using Lands of Lunori build and A journeys End, but should I?

Man I dont feel like a great designer right now, cant even get a game out so hard, always unhappy with certain things...

I personally want to start the story over and build on a mix up, it would lengthen the game and I might be happier with it...Maybe...

What do you guys think?

Bad news

So my pc died and I am on my laptop... Most the new stuff I dont remember if I backed it up yet, so idk, hoping the harddrive is not damaged. Gonna have to buy a new pc, could take several months to save up, so A Journeys End will be on hold till I can get my new pc. So sorry everyone :( I cant work on this laptop cause it is old and laggy, can barely watch tv shows on it :( so hang in there everyone will try to return back to work asap.

Padona Remade 8-23-2013

Anyone who played the demo might have noticed Padona was a huge massive map that sometimes lagged as well as looked bland and dull.

WELL NOT ANYMORE, Behold the new Padona!



Padona has been split into several sections now. This will reduce lag as well as give Padona a better look. More compact than before not so open and barren.

Ok so this took me about 6hrs to complete, and I plan to remodel all the indoor maps as well, but they might not turn out as nice, indoor maps are my weak point.

Well that is all for today, I plan to keep working on this till Padona is perfect!

Status Update 8-21-2013

So in the last several days I been hard at work on the mapping of Old Tower and Lazrius Ruins. I was able to complete Old Tower 100% just the other day and now full force on more story and finishing the lower levels of Lazrius Ruins.

~Tasks at Hand~

-StoryLine - 4% I feel like the story is lacking still, maybe it is just cause the good stuff isnt coded in yet.
-Old Tower - 100%
-Lazrius Ruins Lower Levels - 75%
-Lazrius Ruins Upper Levels - 0%
-Celia - 0% (this is the next city)
-Puzzles - 5% still lacking a lil, but as the story progresses there will be more and more puzzles.

I will keep on moving forward, part of me doesnt know why I didnt just rebuild Lands of Lunori in rpgmaker vx ace, but I started this project so I need to finish it first.

Aside from that things are moving kind of slow, but not too slow... I probably get as much as 2-5 maps done a day unless something gets me in a slump and I dont do anything all day...

Requesting Spell Animators

I am currently using several rtps and other resources for battle animations, but I am having a hard time coming up with unique spells and spirit attacks. Call it animators block or something.

I am looking for one or more spell animators for RPG MAKER VX ACE project "A Journey's End". You dont have to make the animations, just use the animations I have current and make them into unique spells and spirits.

Credit will be given.

If you wish to help out just contact me in private and we will go from there. I want decent animation effects too this project must be great ^.^ and this is an ABS (Action Battle System)game.

Status Update 8-14-2013

Well I haven't got as much done as I wanted this last week, but here is the status update on my game.

~Additions~
-Fishing System made by Galv
-Fishing Orbs - a second currency, you can fish them up then exchange them for items
-Old Tower Dungeon Level is complete
-Kesa has better voice overs
-Modified the HUD a little

Changes and Additions

Hello everyone,

Well it has been a while since my last update, but here is the latest information about A Journey's End.

Since the Demo there has been a few modifications:

-Several mp3s have been changed with a better looping ones
-Bug fix for Bow Charge Attack sfx
-Walkable/unwalkable tile bugs are fixed
-Terralon Crypt is now lighter and bigger

-Beginning Intro has been changed and added tutorials to it
-Now when you start the game Tila is in darkness and is attacked, during her battle tutorials on how to fight and menu functions are explained.
-Once the intro ends you are sent to the Mayor about your Dungeon Crawler Permit status, from there story quests are introduced.

-Terralon Crypt is no longer the beginning dungeon. You are now sent to Old Tower located west of Ferorn Plains (added areas).

-Slot Machine was not backed up when I reinstalled windows and was lost... -.-;

~Future Additions to the game~

-Boss Spirit Attacks: Bosses will be scripted to use spirit moves just as players do, they will hurt so keep an eye on your health and the boss spirit guage/ warnings given during combat.

-Boss Strategies: There will be several types of them to be introduced that make the battle more challenging and not same old hack n slash.
-Crystal Lights: During some fights you will be required to turn off the crystal lights to remove the bosses invuln status.
-Unknown Triggers: These nameless triggers will be needed on or off to stop incoming fire from mechanical objects/mystical objects.
-Weapon Weakness: Bosses may have weakness to different weapons, will apply to normal mobs as well.

That sums up for now, I will continue to work hard to get this game closer to release, but it may still be a while seeing as I just redid a lot of content as well as adding new stuff.

The demo is finally ready for the public, I hope...

If anyone has any issues with the demo please private message me and I will do my best to fix the issues.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome, but as I am not a great scripter I am unable to do a whole lot.
