Wow, talk about not meeting deadlines, right? Some of you might remember that I annouced a Legionwood expansion pack, way back in late 2010. Although it ultimately ended up being cancelled due to hard drive failure, I managed to recover some of its assets a few months ago and, rather than doing the logical lazy thing and recycling them for Legionwood 2, I decided to piece them together and release the resulting mess.
So then, this is the Legionwood expansion I promised all those years ago but never actually delivered? Well, not really. But it's still a pretty cool addition to the Legionwood world.
Legionwood: Mysteries of Dynastland is an expansion pack/DLC for Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords. Featuring a huge new story dungeon set in the midst of the game's chaotic fourth act, as well as a considerable number of all new optional endgame quests, a revised final dungeon and over a dozen new Techs to learn, it expands the original game's playtime by at least three hours and adds several long awaited features to game, including a graphical world map and quest journal.
The main addition in Mysteries of Dynastland is the titular Dynastland dungeon, which takes place between the Sealed Library and Lost City Crebt areas in Chapter 4. This sprawling dungeon crawl is filled with new enemies, puzzles and challenges to test your skills against, and also reveals the never-before-seen backstory of Zanthus and his long lost homeland as your party searches for the mythical Purity Crystal, an ancient Precursor artifact rumoured to be able to manipulate time itself.
Other notable additions to the game include 12 brand new Techs, including unique Techs exclusive to certain characters, a new set of powerful Dynastland equipment, a late-game "scavenger hunt" quest that will take you to the furthest corners of the world, a complete overhaul and rebalancing of all late game content and an expanded final dungeon with a new, harder version of Castoth to fight -- in both the normal and "true" varieties. Overall, it pretty much turns the final act of Legionwood into a completely new game, which was one of my main goals as I was always rather unhappy with how rushed that part of the game turned out.
Anyway, if you're itching for some new adventures, you can grab the DLC here. Simply point the installer to your Legionwood directory and extract, overwriting files when prompted. In order to experience the new content at the appropriate difficulty level, I recommend either starting a new game or loading a game that was saved before the Sealed Library, though most of the new content except for the Quest Journal can still be accessed otherwise.
Check out these screenshots to see some of the new locations in the game:
And with that, I'm off to work on Legionwood 2 again. Happy adventuring! :)

Hey, Dark Gaia!
I used to have the same problem as LtWolf, so I decided to download the patch, thought it'll fix it maybe. Now it gives me this message after the game goes dark "Script 'Scene_QuestJournal' line183: NoMethod Error has occurred. Undefined method 'include?' for nil.nilclass"
Please help!!!
Enjoyed the game so far, but don't want to start from the beginning again.
I'm in the same boat here: started playing the Humble Bundle/Free Game Pack version, then after installing the new DLC version, I am getting the "Quest journal" error.
I would also prefer not to restart from the beginning, since I have about ~20 hours put into it over the last few weeks. It's been a fun game so far, but not so much fun that I'd rather play through it a second time instead of, say, playing Legionwood 2. ;)

Yes, it's recently become known that the quest journal creates an incompatibility between versions. If you're experiencing the Ascog bug, and muting the sound and/or replacing the Audio folder with the one from the Deluxe Edition doesn't help, unfortunately there's nothing that can be done other than restarting in the Deluxe Edition.
On the off chance the "sound muting" fix might work, could you explain what to do? I didn't notice an in-game menu for sound controls, so what exactly am I supposed to mute?
I would offer to edit your save file for you and place you within the castle, but I no longer have the source code for the Humble Bundle version of the game.
Would it work to just edit the save file and give me the Quest Journal item? Because my save game loads just fine; it's only when I walk into Hawkshire that it crashes. If it's just a matter of having the item, wouldn't that mean that:
1) You wouldn't need the original version source code, just the newer one?
2) If there's a save game editor (is there one?) out there, anyone else could just do it themselves?
3) You could patch the game to have e.g. some random guy in the woods, who gives you a journal if you don't have one already? (And a world map? I don't have that either.)
Thanks for the great game so far!

There are 2 things you could try:
1. Just mute your computer's sound (open the Sound Mixer by double clicking the volume icon and muting Legionwood).
2. Copy and paste the contents of the Audio/SE folder of the Deluxe Edition into the Audio/SE folder of the Humble Bundle edition, overwriting when prompted.
The second option should fix the problem, as it removes the troublesome sound file completely in favour of the fixed one, but some people have reported success with just muting their sound while in Ascog Castle.

I'm getting unable to find veiculo(10) error. I think its because the installation file has 60.9 mb instead of 63.8mb, i tried re-downloading but the file to download only has 60.9 mb. So i think you need to re-upload the file.
Hi. It looks like the installer file may have gotten corrupted somehow. Until I get a chance to re-upload it, a slightly older version of the game is available here: http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/free-game-bundles/free-game-bundle-1
If you want to play the Deluxe Edition, you could probably retrieve the missing files from this version.

I have an issue! I defeated the rift Dragon and got the origin gem. I Noticed that it was useable so I used it. It went through the little cutscene like thing and screen went white and it said something about an item matwrializing in my hand. Now my issue comes right after this it goes to a black screen and an error occurs " Script 'Wij_SceneTreasue' line 45: NoMethodError occured. Undefined method 'screen_x' for nil:NilClass
Gaia, I'm a little curious about one thing. Do the Angel and Demon Cloaks that you acquire late-game work the way the description says in the deluxe version? I never noticed it working on the mac version of this game. I could wait and see, but it's painfully obvious that doing that with an RPG game is torture since it could take hours, days, or sometimes even weeks depending on the game to find things like that out.

Copying saves from my original play-through to a new install of Deluxe Edition (1.1), I see Angel Cloaks providing around 5% health regen at the end of each combat round, but Demon Cloaks seem to do nothing. In addition, Zenith armor restores only HP even the the description says it automatically heals both HP and SP.
Huh. I apparently noticed another bug or something with the game. When I played through the DLC of Dynastland in the Citadel, when I lose the Tetris part, it rewards me with a dark red screen and it doesn't go away; making me go to the menu back to the last save and redo it over and over.
Furthermore, twice I made it past 500 and it kept saying what happened if you fail. And I did a little checking and while I could redo the Tetris part, it kept staying that dark red color.
Edit: Nvm. I got it to work. Not entirely sure how but...I did it.

Is there a link for the update for 1. 2...I got the deluxe version and I need the update and I don't know how to get the files and don't know which ones to put into the deluxe version....could you help Dark Gaia?
I'm having a problem in Legionwood 1. When I arrive at Port Charn in order to go to Hawkshire, I speak to Alexis about departing. After the conversation is over, the screen blacks and I get this error message: "Unable to find graphics/characters/$veiculo (10)" Then the game crashes. I have searched this thread for the answer, and while two different posters had the same question as me, neither of them got an answer. The game's really fun, and I'd like to keep playing. Someone help me, please.
Edit: I just saw someone on this page of the thread get an answer. I'm trying that.

What I wanna know…because it's been bugging me for quite a long time…is if this Legionwood game has anything to do with another RPG Maker 2000/2003 game called Legionwood from years ago. The main character's name was Ridman, or something like that, where he ends up being betrayed by his homeland and basically must take on a new identity. I remember parts of that game clearly in my mind and it bugs me because this game and that game share the same name and they don't look related at all from first glance.
Does anyone else know what I'm talking about and can shed some light on this?

There is an Audio Fix now available.
Hey Dark Gaia, just gonna start off with saying I love this game so far!
I'm doing an LP of it on my YouTube channel here. I can't wait to get started on the second game, it's sitting on my desktop, waiting to be played! And I'll make sure to do an LP of that one too!
Keep up the good work Gaia, this world you've created is amazing.

Yeah his HP is unlimited and refills at the end of each battle phase. Even so he has a HP limit of 999,999 so you will never kill him.
After nearly 2 hours battle with this 'Terminus', I'm too bored that I must skim through comments here and now I know I have been trying meaninglessly. I hope you put a more clearly warning (in game we can defeat 'immortal' enemy) or just let him use a 'kill all' skill at 10th turn for example. Now I must return to the last save file since I used too much items trying to defeat the undefeatable.

Huh, so I wasn't the only one to discover this case of sequence breaking. I was afraid of progressing too far in case something went wrong, but you have to go to the far east of the ice continent (accessible only by sea) to progress with the Castoth portion.
I am getting stuck in the cave at the very beginning of the game. Lann falls down, and Liara jumps into a hole on the side to save him, the screen blacks out, and it stays black.
I refresh the game with F12 and it automatically switches back to full screen (I prefer windowed screen) mode, and after I load the game again, this time I see Lann and Liara stuck on the vines together on the right side of my screen.
Any help here?
(OK nevermind. I found out why its happening. I was pressing the Shift and Direction buttons while the whole dialogue was going on, and it misplaced Liara and in turn made the events bug out. You might want to add that into the bug fix list or make an announcement or something.)
