*Sigh...*

Okay, this just sucks to high heaven. I've been infected with the most god-awful virus I've ever seen: Cryptowall. Long story short, it encrypts and scrambles all of your files, then demands a pricey ransom to "rescue" them! (A 200$+ ransom that may or may not actually unlock the files!) Evil. Pure &%@$%@# evil. I'd love to shove its writer into a pit of venomous, man-eating snakes. (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻

Rant over. The game is "safe" in that it was not directly infected, but I need to make sure it's CLEAN before I release any further updates... It'll take about a week to rebuild and clean up everything, but I won't give up yet! It'll take more than a virus to kill my spirit~!

Best of luck! It really sucks to get hit with such a terrible virus ;_;

I back up my files on USB flash drives about once a week to prevent something like this. That might be helpful to you in the future. Good luck! ^_^

Thanks for the encouragement, it's very nice of you. I back up my stuff too, but this virus is NASTY. It also encrypted my other drives, including my backup drive! Gah, it's been pesky... but there's a good part. Strangely, it left my C drive untouched, which was the only reason my game was saved. Until I'm SURE it's not hiding a Trojan, I won't release any updates. I don't want anyone to have to deal with this bug.

I feel your pain...

I had the FBI virus, takes up the whole screen and totally locks up your computer till you pay a fee but as you said, no way of knowing if they will unlock your computer or come back with another request for more money :(

I found out that if I'm fast enough, had Windows 8.1, not have Win.10, you can click on the Windows button and shut down or restart your computer and they can't lock you up....
Thank you know who in the heavens for Windows 10 :)

And don't be sad we can all wait. We would even wait 10 years just so that you can take you're time on doing this so take you're time.
