As the Storyteller of the ACE Chronicles Series, it appears that the burden is upon me to retelling tales of various characters throughout time, space, and dimensions, and even tie in parallel universes and alternate realities.

Space in the maps
There has to be purpose in adding space in maps. One best application is when monsters are visible in the dungeon; battles only occur on contact unless mixed in with random encounters for the feel of enemy ambushers. If the enemies are too weak and more of a nuisance, some maneuvering will let the player leave the dungeon without meeting one, while a grinder would like to meet them head-on, then reenter the map when it's empty.

Is this supposed to be another joke topic like the last one
If so, why does the OP lack anything humorous
If not, why does it have almost the exact same topic name as the joke topic that got locked

I'm unsure about that, too... But may as well enjoy while this lasts. I'll probably contribute after tinkering with the game a bit.
There should be skills centered on charismatic abilities as a form of respect to Speechcraft abilities of Orators in Final Fantasy Tactics or the like.
* Tactics
Gives the order that gives buffs of the specific temp. stat boosts while negating its debuff opposites. Enemies can also alter their attack patterns when its leader does the same. Applies to all allies and free or low cost, pending on preferences.
Example:
When Enemy leader uses ATK Up buffs to its entire group, some enemies attack differently when ATK Up status is in effect. This gives the urgency to take out lead enemies before they can organize themselves into a greater threat to your party.
Encourage
Cheers the selected ally, bolstering willpower used in skills. No cost. Great when running out of MP, but the amount given varies erratically, so there are chances when only 1 MP is restored (Your speech is not inspiring at all...) or MP is fully restored in a single turn.

All of you have a good argument over issue with the use of illegally altered software. I've done my homework several months ago before joining in. So far, it seems that the 2k and 2k3 versions are rendered obsolete and fell out of official distribution, so it's makes sense to take the illegal ones if they are no longer sellable... or is it?
As for that $30 cost... er... Feels like buying a 1-year-old game, and I almost always start with limited resources. It may not seem like it, but I either man up to the challenge, or not to begin with in the first place. And with time looming like a dark omen, seems that the latter is a worse choice. VX price is similar to buying Halo: Reach at first release price while using the Xbox Live Silver. (On the other hand, I bought the fresh Limited Edition at half price in a retail store. Patience is a virute, after all, but idleness is the opposite.)
I tried the 2k3, but it's a double-edged sword. While it has desirable features and updates, the ATB system can be a problem, and I'd rather form my own turn-based system... (Now if I could find a forum section that could help me with it...) and... well, my skills in character concept art and pixel sprite art are worlds apart. I did made a character battle sprite sheet, and that did not end well despite retries. Besides, the NES feel is rather nostalgic...
But that aside...
Does it really matter posting ideas without planning? There are times when a person needs to speak their mind. I can't disagree to that, or I'd undermine myself as a hypocrite. But I think I posted there... probably.
I am writing down the game arc starting with prologue and ending, plus one ultimate side mission with bragging rights as a reward in a notebook.

May I humbly suggest putting your ideas into a text file? I'm not saying that you should never post your ideas on a forum. People share ideas on the "What are you working on" thread. That's how that thread works. However, sometimes, it's best to just do a bit of brainstorming on your own before making a commitment to anything.
Though, now that I say this, I must admit to the "crime" of making blogs about a game's development without really thinking things through...

bro just make a game page that's where stuff like that last post should go
Good idea... but just to be safe, anyway...
Secret/ Super Boss length
In my opinion, I would prefer side mission bosses that are much harder than the strongest story bosses. There are one too many games I played that has at least one boss like that.
Once my main project is in full swing, I may plan a special side mission that has a boss like that, and pay respects to a subject of my own method and choosing. In fact, why not fight an extremely powerful boss that is not scary, gigantic, and intimidating... but cute and doesn't look so dangerous?

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I am currently under experimentation phase to get used to the RPG Maker engines. So far, a test game codenamed "Project Synchronization" is under development. Regardless, I placed one music-based Easter Egg that is fairly easy to reach by interaction.
That said, the database and events induced motion sickness... Whether it's from what I ate or I think too much, I need to rest for a bit before moving on...

Quick report to self (If I forget...):
RPGMVX seems suitable, but further research indicate limitations in available custom tiles... The price is steep; this is not merciful in long-term projects. Neither VX or XP are good for long-term plans due to said funding issues. 2k or 2k3 versions are more cost-effective.
So far, created a seemingly generic NPC that can be provoked into a losing battle without a game over. Placed a furniture used to modify current party levels from 1~99. Placed a box for free full restore and 5 field-only Med-Kits if none are carried. Created weapon, magic+animation, Element Attribute (Crystal). Choice-made NPC provocation into battle is a boss battle with its own music, with the music created as an unique Easter Egg familiar to some. Further development required and submission material is plausible.
Notes:
Alternative of random encounters possible once events are understood.
------------------------------
I may as well place this for future reference, or I may end up forgetting what is next on the list or what was my conclusion at the time. I guess edits are best for typos and updates...

My name is Aereto Eselri, a pen name I intended to use once I am ready to publish my fictional stories. It may sound out-of-place, but since I'm getting involved in making most games that is possibly similar to my intentions, it's fitting to represent as the author.
One real reason I moved in to a new forum is that I have ideas of an RPG tied to a possibly high-quality story, but I have minimal experience in programming and zero artistic capability in making sprites; only average in concept art.
As a result, my priority is to organize a loosely-knit team, with me leading the project, to develop the game at their own pace that they can contribute, however small it may be, and need to know what engine and tools needed to accomplish such a highly-ambitious project, despite the fact that it is my first.
To do so, I need humans or members, not bots, who are willing to contribute their time in taking part of an ambitious plan... of course, to be honest, I am half-expecting that the plan may fail in the most catastrophic way possible, so I may feel like stepping back to square zero and start over again from the ground up.
So... uh... thanks for looking at me... or something... -_-'
