I should start by saying this: CAVE was right about one thing, and I was wrong. I had the order of posts wrong.

When I said that Odd had only said two sentences, I so far had only skimmed and hadn't noticed the post of his I later quoted. I only later noticed that post, and asked about it at that later point.

I reserve the right to think that CAVE is scum for any reason at any later point. I do still think he was strangely aggressive for what it was, but he was right about me being wrong on the order of the initial posts. And I stand by that I wasn't being unnecessarily aggressive to Odd.

Having read through the thread again I think Piano is a bit...off. He was all over the place, and I find it strange how many times he changed his votes. He came to my defense by quoting one of my posts and correctly explaining my position, but later was swayed with what feels like very little evidence. Before that, he was even so sure I was right that he would put a vote on CAVE. That's also a lot of why I am just neutral on CAVE being scum. I think it's possible that Piano was trying to bus while acting as natural as possible and have votes on CAVE for when he flipped scum, or myself for when I flipped town.

It's also possible that Piano was just trying to feed into the confusion to make it harder for any kind of real resolution to be reached and to make the conflict more complex to increase the likelihood we would not reach a hammer. I think this is doubly likely if CAVE is town.

Either way, it feels like a risky scum play to me. I could easily see having both possibilities in mind, and just going with whichever felt the most likely to succeed. His constantly changing viewpoint just doesn't read very natural to me. I feel like he was just swayed way too easily.

Wait, do you mean just because we'll all see it happen in night chat?

feel free to point out things i've said that are actually false or scummy or w/e. "he's town, or scum, either way it feels bad" is not a good look.

I lack the energy to argue with you on this anymore.

Either CAVE is town making a lot of confusion, or CAVE is scum making a lot of confusion.

His arguments feel 100% like when scum-CAVE was and going after me. It felt totally different in Frequency, when he was town. I felt like his arguments made sense to me then, and he was pointing out things I agreed were clearly a mistake.

I would say I think Piano is all over the place, but this whole game is all over the place. I think what he has been doing is just in tune with the thread more than anything.

I would suspect any non-CAVE scum (regardless of CAVE's alignment) is laying somewhat low while still being present. So based on that maybe Odd (although I would doubt an Odd-CAVE team given everything) or Demon. Or MAYBE Psy, backing me to get town cred for when I flip town. But those are all very circumstantial possibilities :/

rolefishing in a game where roles are explicitly tied to peoples secret identities, and scum knowing peoples secret identities is what allows scum to kill them, is bad. I'm not discussing any aspect of this.

I also am having that funny feeling that Cave is arguing against me in bad faith...I'm having to explain things where he is just flat out wrong, like the order of posts.

Yes, I do think that the statement Odd made was scummy. Only scum would be safe when revealing their identity, it looks like a possible perspective slip to me. It's a pretty big mistake to make otherwise.

Yeah, the more I read that post, the worse it looks to me. AE's being aggressive and callous. It's like she's forgotten that joke votes are a thing.

Read my posts again, when this was mentioned I realized that was probably true and said so.
