In general, CT fan projects are very quiet until release date ever since Crimson Echoes happened. I don't think that any of the projects lead by Bekkler or Lance will be canceled without an announcement.

I just downloaded the game (I'm really excited to play it too!!) but I get a weird error when I open the game.
I start the game, the screen loads, I can even hear the music but when I select "New Game" I get an error from the bestiary script?

I downloaded the game twice, first from here and then tried again from itch.io but with both files the same thing happens. Help? >_<

This seems to be caused by the patch. Either play it unpatched or apply the patch after you are able to save, thus bypassing new game. Not sure if the has further consequences.

Either way, I couldn't play past the past where you need to make a homunculus because the game always freezes when I leave the alchemy menu.

I truly appreciate this as a way of experiencing something of the Before Crisis story. Otherwise, not really much of a game.

Only for FFVII fans for sure.

Just beat this game. Only significant issues I've come across were related to characters blocking NPCs during cutscenes. Most significant was the cutscene where the party enters the Truce dome claiming that they're thieves. It repeated once I exited the basement, but Schala blocks the NPCs. I only managed to bypass this by messing with the switch for the event.

You need to enter the castle from the back on the world map.

By the way, I encountered an issue with the screen going entirely black after the cutscene where Hiro opens the jail cells in Capital castle. You can still move and access the menu, the screen is just entirely black. I can't progress, but I'm going to try to remember how to leave the room and see if that will work. I definitely want to continue the game.

It's been a fascinating take on games that poke fun at RPG stereotypes.
