Pure Heart Review

Thanks for the honest and well written review! I appreciate that you took the time to play the optional content and I agree with your final score.

To answer your questions:
1) It only changes a few sentences so not worthy enough to replay the game. I originally planned multiple endings showing the aftermath of Lement and Earth but I ran out of time since this was made for a 2 week game jam. Enemies don't initiate a fight while they are shocked to see you and jump, so you have to run past them without hesitation to avoid fights.

2) You weren't suppose to see that. It made things more efficient on the development side. I dedicated an event ID to Varius so I can call a common event to reposition him to Yuki during a cutscene. If you noticed, Varius is always animated coming out of Yuki, rather than having him pop up out of nowhere as a lazy method. Also, if I moved a cutscene to another area or map (which did happen), I didn't have to reprogram it.

Nice game so far! I am truly hating the lakers part but I will try my best to find the exit! Lol nice game anyway combat is fast and original, graphics are really cute and I like music too.

Edit: finished the game! Nice adventure, it starts easy and introduces new concepts and then you have to apply them on harder puzzles. Combat is nice, only the hidden boss and the final boss were difficult.

I admit that Lake Chrysta was a blind spot for me. I didn't realize how difficult it'd be for players while I was designing the dungeon haha. I'm glad the game was good enough for you to struggle through it.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep it in mind for future games :)

I love in depth stuff like this!!!

Thanks! :) I love reading in depth stuff as well since there's always something you can learn from other people's experiences. I recently read a book called, "Blood, Sweat, and Pixels" and I highly recommend it.
