Nemesis - In Darkland Review
Thank you for your review and for having played Nemesis.
I would like to answer to some of your questions you asked in your review because I think you didn't understand the whole story.
First, the characters aren't there to make the game longer, but because of the story. Let me explain: all characters are inside Nemesis's dreams, so, like every dream, most of its characters or the sceneries are not there just because but because Nemesis change her reality and recreated it with her own mind.
The Unicorn and the Lion, and the twins too, are there like guests at Queen Cadie's birthday, so not useless at all.The twins are there to talk about the story, and like the queen (because the eyes inside the bottle in the hidden room are not just two) is bad. The fact that Maryrose and Rosemary don't have eyes and can't talk are connected to Nemesis's sister (Red Gladys is blind from one eye) and can't talk (like the Nemesis's dad - because he's dead). Then, why is Gladys's eye inside a box in Cadie's palace? Well, because the mom hurted Nemesis's sister. Inside that room there are few red wine bottles to show that the room isn't a child's room, of course, and the hidden room contains something creepy inside.
Second. It isn't really right that the dad's story it's hidden until the bonus part because the Dad's story is connected with the hat first (the hat that was found inside Cadie's garden), then with the Hatter (the hat is his hat). The hat's animation explains that he was a orchestra director of magic hats until they were killed. (so until his life was off).
About the art I don't know where you can see a "child" Nemesis talk because for the whole game I've portraited Nemesis only as a teenager.
Last thing is that the game isn't tagged only with an horror tag but like adventures and puzzle too so it can't be like only horror but just creepy in some parts.
I know the game isn't perfect, the graphics too, maybe, but we'll hope that you can enjoy our next project :) And I hope that I managed to explain and answer a bit better to your (indirect) questions.

You're welcome! And well, pretty much all my reviews are like that. People have different standards, so I like to let the readers know about the similarly-themed games I've played earlier, and which obviously colour my judgement of the game at hand. It's particularly valuable if they had played those games earlier, as then they would have greater context.
that's okay, but please make the spoiler in "hide" section.
