You know, there was a time in the Middle East when Muslim women went to college, could get degrees in finance, engineering. They didn't have to wear traditional clothing, or even cover their faces. Some Muslim countries even today have women elected as president and prime minister.

Going back on the original point of the topic, i'm thinking about something;
These last few days my facebook feed has turned up lots of people talking about an apparently popular theory that the world will end soon (from september 20 onwards). Some people say an asteroid is gonna come and ruin our shit, some people are talking about verses of the bible or jewish things that will also ruin our shit and some people are talking about a massive worldwide economic crisis that will ruin our shit, all in the following days.

Have you guys heard any of this too?

Pay no attention to any of these theories. If a rogue planet slams into us, then so be it, but the "The End is Nigh! Repent!" bullshit is exactly that: bullshit. Google Harold Camping. He was predicting the end of the world for years, was always wrong, and always insisted that the rapture was coming. He convinced people to give away their life savings. There are thousands of families who's lives were destroyed because they listened to this clown. Since the days of ancient Sumeria people have carried signs saying "The End is Nigh!" The world was supposed to end in 2012 because of the Mayan calendar.
It was supposed to end in 1999 because 999 is 666 upside down. It was supposed to end 2002 because of some planetary alignment that would make the world tilt. Did you know that in 1666, because of 666, so many people were convinced the world was going to end that in the minutes before midnight on New Years eve, everyone throughout Europe held each other in terror. The predictions of Nostradamus! Hitler is the first anti-Christ and Saddam Hussein was the second anti-Christ and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Notice that Nostradamus doesn't predict it until after it's happened. My family is Baptist. I grew up with End of the World predictions. They're bullshit; everyone of them. If they were true, this planet would have suffered devastation from countless disasters unparalleled next to anything in the imagination or what has been written.
