When people don't comment or do anything on my game page, first I get unmotivated and then I just stop working .-.

Most people won't comment on a game even if they liked it, so it's not a good idea to depend on constant interest and comments on your game in order to work on it.
I understand that there is a certain allure to receiving attention and praise for the work you do, but work on your game because you like it and enjoy the experience of making it, not because it brings attention to you as a person. This in the end will make your game a richer and fuller experience rather than a quick grab for attention that will fade quickly.

Exactly what TDS said. There are only so many ways people can say "looks good".
If you want to fish for comments, try uploading new screenshots more often, or tagging one or two for criticism (so it appears in the Development section). If you release something playable, you'll probably be swarmed with "How do I ___" posts.

Same as above! Make games because you like making games :) not for the fame, the glory or the money.
If you keep going and make lots of games, those things can come to you, but if they're your only motivation, it won't be enough to keep you going. The more you make games and the more well-known you get, the more attention the stuff you do will get.

author=slashphoenixYou just described a certain Oda sensei~ *o* (Lol)

there are better ways to get attention than telling people to pay attention to you
Ah, come on. I don't blame the guy, I felt the same way when I started releasing stuff. It's easy to forget that just because something's a big deal to you it's not necessarily a big deal to anyone else.

Which Oda-sensei is that? I'll be honest, I like manga but most references go way over my head :P
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiichiro_Oda This one, lol he's quite famous in the manga department, I believe. :x

and did you do something about it, or did you start acting like it was everyone else's fault?
Ah yes, THAT Oda. I did enjoy what I read of One Piece.
Honestly, I'd rather give advice than skip to insults most of the time. If people refuse to acknowledge you and continue a pity-party, sure, insult away, but at that point you're more or less contributing nothing at all.

there are insults, and there's tough love. for a community that prides itself on being honest but blunt, you seem less able to cope than I would have thought.
I'd rather put my energy into constructive bluntness. Directionless tough love isn't terribly useful.
there people go again, confusing "constructive" with "nice".
e: but no really let's keep wasting everyone's time with tone arguments, I'm down

I'm sure in two years animetor's game will be the song of our generation and you'll be there to say "I told you so"
until then, relax.
until then, relax.
I don't want positive attention anyway. I prefer when people make complaints about the game so that I get motivated to improve. When nobody comments I don't know where to take the game, be it gameplay-wise or story-wise. I think this was taken the wrong way and makes me look like an attention craving freak .-.
