Moving in RM2k3
Increase the Wait time, make it 5.6 or 5.7 instead of 5.0sec. I've done 10 Movement Trails and it works with no delay. But I'll try again and make sure.

@Jabbo: I was scratching my head on this for a while, and your method works well. I think the Power Patch can disable the base Movement Keys as well.
9. Power Patch - Me (all versions)
A patch, which adds a scripting language to the RPG Maker. You can change the game variables using the scripting language (e.g. SetVar(14, (GetVar(15)*GetVar(14)+3)^2)), copy files, use all keys as well as the mouse, change the resolution and much more. And - you can extend it with self-made plugins (so you'll be able to make an Online-Gaming-Plug-In and use it with the Power Patch)

Story Developement: Killing off Characters
I really like these responses they are "helping me out" so to speak with some new concepts. In terms of my own game I have been in the whole "Kill'em All" mentality. I am portraying a war-time scenario, and eliminating a Leveling System, however Skills and Weaponry could be a hindrance in terms of killing off specific characters. However lets depart from investment into Characters, which seems to be a heavy Con in killing off a Character, and look more into Progression. Sure killing off a Character is a bitch to the Player, but would you like to see Character's effected by death of an ally. Effected to such a point that you feel as if the Character is sad, his actions, his dialog are all scripted differently depending on his relationship to another.

@Neophyte: Yea, I'm no where as far as you are. So I would say about 30% Complete. I have to finish the Enemy AI, which has been a pain in the ass. I'll get a video up so you all can see the flow of battle.
Also any recommendation of Recording Software, I haven't made a Video in a while...since the Academy Days :(
@Sion: Looks good man. Hope to see a Demo some time soon.
@Ephiam: Dragon Warrior Themed, its been a while since I've seen this style. Keep it up man, reminds me of the good ole' days.

RPG Maker Games V.S Commercial Games
I would buy The Way, well when it first came out. There have been games in this community that a worth their weight in gold, however the main problem is completion for me. I know when I first play Velsabor, I was like.... :o. The thing about RM games and indie games in general are that they produce new worlds, new ideas, new characters, things that Commercial Games lack. In this current time, I would rather play an Indie RPG over any commercial RPG (minus The World Ends w/ You), I like original things, and I if a game like Balmung had complete Custom Graphics, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Tryth be told even possess ripped graphics, the game reminds me of a PSX RPG, it story, dialog, script, it is something I am intrigued by, something I have not seen in a while, since I played Lost Odyssey.

Finished the Ranged Combat Movement for Enemies, I am going to finish the Melee Combat Movement, but I finally get enemy down in RM2k3. Watch out Neophyte. :P

The whole Night/Day concept is essential to battles. At night, Melee Attack Accuracy decreases, however Aggression increases at a faster pace. All in all if you fight at night your Chaos Bar will increase faster than at day, while Melee Accuracy will do the same. What is really important is the use of Akuma in battle. These Demon are only able to fight at night, and when night comes their stats and Aggression reaches and all time high. Basically Players will have to use Tactics when going into the "Ruins" to hunt Akuma.

Story Developement: Killing off Characters
Not so much for a Plot Twist, but I like how, if done correctly, it can effect other characters. Say, a Character you have played with since the beginning of the game, the lovable, funny guy who is introduced as a Protagonist is killed, in a grotesque and untimely way, what is your reaction. For me, if the game is longer than 10 Hours, and I've been playing with such a character...I would feel bad, however it has been a while since I felt in such a way. I don't know what RM games everyones been playing lately, but at the point I am in on Balmung Cycle, it appears as if one of the Protagonists allies Loki is slain in battle. For me, it was nothing big, mainly because he wasn't that important in my eyes, but I think the only way to bring about the emotional aspect is to really grab the players heart when introducing such a character, and keep in mind, the kind of guy whom you view as likable.
