I'm Ben_Random. I've been around since 2008 but I didn't really get active here since Super RMN Bros. 2. That, an unfinished game, and a couple of contests sums up what I've done with game making on this site. I find that my main purpose here is writing. I have a few tutorials out there, as well as some reviews on Mario fan games such as RMN Bros. or Mario V.S. the Moon Base.

Now with the internet the way it is these days, you can probably use just this information to stalk me.

ShortStar, I was watching your desert tutorial video to see more ways I could improve bowser's desert, and while I was at it, I thought I would watch your Mini-Mario mayhem video. The level wasn't that bad. I think you should jazzy it up a little, and then post it.

SMB3 desert - great use of desert elements.
1. The ground of the quicksand secret looked bad once I had all the coins. Make edges to your ground please.
2. You can go through the grey pipe holder block. It feels very wrong. Use a traditional block for the shell pipe.
3. Same for other pipes...
4. Having your quicksand on a slant just doesn't work. No slants with quicksand. It needs to be either straight down or boxed off.
5. Confusion > fun
6. HA mushroom shot off screen when it was released in a block.
7. How did the moving platform appear? What did I do?
8. Orange pipes coming out of grey ones just looks bad. If anything, put a block to connect the two and make them grey too.
9. wtf about the final bricks. So I either need to use a shell 8x or a takooni suit which I just lost.
10; You need to make a bonus room with a takooni suit that will always refresh and be there. For the people that lose theirs.
11. Add some bullet bills or boos to the Ludvig fight."

Thanks Shortstar. Hitting the giant ? block made the platform appear. I will try to make that more obvious. I think I will make a Tanooki generator just for you.

Don't drop the quicksand, just make platforms above it :-) Hang on... going to go try the desert now.

Your level is so damn annoying man. The quicksand makes you slow down SO tremendously and it's hard to get out of in general.

At the area with the SMB1 Castle (the one with the locked door), why didn't you include a better power-up than a coin in that big ? block? When I see a big ? block, I expect to have an important, awesome powerup, not some bullshit.

The boss room feels super cramped. If Ludwig Koopa was close to the far right or left of the room it would be nearly impossible to hit in time to dodge all fireballs and hit him before he goes in his shell. It makes the fight unnecessarily difficult.

That's all I got to say about it, bro.

Thank you SO much. I will definantly drop the quicksand, (except for the secrets), and I will expand the boss room. Oh yah, I think I'll put a Tanooki in the big box. That would make getting to the orange pipe that takes you to the key, musch easier if you were to lazy to get the secret P-Button.

EDIT: V3 of Bowsers Desert is ready for download. I enlarged the boss room but I may have overdone it.

Uploaded Bowsers Desert. I have completely redone the level and it needs alot of work. The only similarity to the old one is the boss fight.

I have also made my FINAL edits to Puzzles and Plains.

Edit: That castle tutorial was good. I won't have time to make a castle level for this game but I will definantly use it in a main game if I ever make one.

I do double post a lot. For this, I am sorry, and will try to do one post at a time.

EDIT: Oh yah, I am thinking of using my ninja editing skills to create a trailer for Super RMN Bros. 2: The RMN mario game that doesn't suck. (That much)

EDIT 2: D-Bones, I noticed you don't have any levels up yet. If you are trying to make one big awesome one that Brickroad won't hate (anti red coin level), I see two problems:

1.) By the time you get it posted there will be no time left for anyone to comment on it.
2.) Brickroad will hate you forever.

I realized a glitch in Clown in the Clouds so I uploaded a V3. No changes other than I made on block shorter, no reason to re-download.
