Elf Quest: Get the Shiny
RMN Podcast Thread: Please Suggest Things for the July Podcast!
For example I'd love to hear a clear explanation of how the site was founded (yes a WiPzard did it but why?) or how gaming world net started breaking apart. Surely enough time has passed that people can talk about what happened in the early days of the RM community without frothing at the mouth with nerd rage. Or maybe not?
Edit:
Sorry I guess I'm naturally a negative person. Still I would love to hear the whole story I've gotten bits and pieces over the years and just any stories from the early days of RMing would be great for the "newbies". Almost like a tradition of sorts? I don't know? Just throwing out ideas.

See if you can get a hold of some of RMN's "Founders" I'm sure there's all sorts of interesting stories that can be drenched up from the old timey days of five-six years ago.
Zombies are Real!
King of America
Kings do occasionally get their heads cut off. Presidents however can always pass the buck on to someone else.

so much to do and just getting started
And make sure you play other peoples games! They'll challenge and inspire you. Also you might even get the occasional moment of fun. :P
Language in Games
I'd better expend on my thoughts here.
My early attempts at RM games were some of the most profanity filled trash you could imagine. This was partially due to characters that really would swear like drunken tugboat captains but mainly due to the sudden unexpected freedom the medium gave me.
After a couple of years I started toning thing down pretty sharply and actually tried to make a game without any swearing. (I found I couldn't do it.)
Anyway I've decided to seek the middle ground and swear when a character would swear but to always look at other options. I find I'm actually saving F-bombs for the one of two points in the plot where they'll have the most effect.

You really have to seek the middle ground. 'Fuck' really is the most important word in the English language but you have to use it with care. Don't just add extra swears to make a character 'look tougher,' there's other ways to do that.
