When I try to leave Darmstadt after the group decides to go to the tower, I get this untranslated text, which is probably reminding me to go to the tower.
A Thought on Save Points.
Maybe if the healing feature of the save point is overused, non-event encounters in the dungeon will be disabled. This can be explained by the enemies getting wise to the party's grinding tactic and deciding that it's better to let the boss handle them than to throw away their lives for nothing.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
SaGa 4: Masters of the Demon World
I'm executing this game on Linux Mint 17.1 right now with Oracle Java 8 (set to default). Unfortunately, directly executing a jar by double clicking or right clicking treats the home folder as the current directory, which causes an error. Running the jar via shell script bypasses the error.
This is all I needed to put in the shell script, which is then placed in the SaGa4 folder.

Some bugs I found:
-The game freezes if you try to feed meat to a dead character.
-If you try to go into the Hero Cave without the flashlight and then try to leave, you could end up stuck in a wall.
-I got this error in the log, which indicates that the shop is too full to include some kind of cure spell.

I made the ooze eat the mystic plant skill that Alma made before actually getting the mystic plant form. Did I screw myself out of the skill?

After I pick up the first MAT Boost mod, additional copies don't show up in the inventory or equipment screen at all. Is this intentional?
Edit: This seems to happen to other items that I manage to pick up, like that fossil item for the ooze.
Edit2: Actually, it may be due to the item collection log not getting cleared when picking up new items.

I think it's okay to keep the avi videos as long as you mention them in a Readme file and list ways to get the codec.

I finished the demo. For some reason, the port area in Mithros lags after the ship is finally docked.
Thoughts:
-I like the fact that sidequest NPCs are labeled, which saves me the trouble of talking to every NPC after completing story events.
-Two of the bosses display their name and title before the battle starts, which is a good reference to the Ys series. The cracking on the screen doesn't spread far enough though.
-The inner part of the volcano needs at least one blue save point, especially when there's a rare drop quest there.
-The NPCs seem to have a different sprite style from the party members. This is fine, though Ren appears to be about the same size as a child NPC.
-Restoring 2 MP from defending isn't going to mean much in later parts of the game. I suppose it's just to make things slightly easier in the beginning when there are only low MP skills.

For some reason, the game lags while the lantern is activated.
Also, when, I get a "No such interface supported" error and cannot proceed. I'm using Vista.
Update: Actually, I found a solution thanks to google-fu. I had to use the DivX MPEG-4 (DX50)codec to run the avi movie, which I obtained from some codec pack executable.
