Blog #3 - Features and ideas

I want to reiterate one point, which is that I like the idea of the members giving some of their own traits to their characters, but discourage their being carbon copies of the member in question. The latter leans toward self-insertion, which I for one would rather avoid. Rather, have them give the characters some "echoes" of their creators, but enough variance to make them interesting in their own right.

Tainted Reality

I found another option for character makers, though i personalty have some trouble with it
http://www.brighthub.com/video-games/pc/articles/103152.

I like that we're given some say into our character's personalities, but don't think it's necessary to make them our clones- just to give them some shared aspects so they reflect us in some way. After all, these are altenrate versions of us and they may have turned out quite differently. For example, Deimos shares my sarcasm and dirty mind, but , as a Dark user, is a great deal more callous and nasty. He's definitely an anti-hero.

Here's a sprite i put together:

Try these makers:

Also, the Color Replacer plugin is very useful should you want to edit the colors of existing items

And from your description, Deimos - I'd give his last name as Temporale-would be best described as a "Dark Chronomancer."

I'd suggest making him something of a lewd, sadistic and kinky prankster - an exaggerated echo of MY dark side. I'd also suggest he be "Family." In fact, consider letting each participant have some say into their character's personality, and encouraging them to infuse something of themselves into it.

Small Details (Looking for ideas)

The real small details are the small details. Flesh out your NPC interactions- does one of the shopkeepers hold his nose while talking to a certain character?-, make your forests look alive, with vines and random flowers, give each character a unique mannerism, etc.

Square Enix loses all sanity, announces Final Fantasy 13-2

Remember that Fabula Nova Crystalis (?) is 3 gamesint he sme universe, so "2" may well be either Agito ofr versus.

Cyber Factor

I really feel the term "Spontaneous Evolution” is a misnomer, as true evolution occurs amid a population over time, not among individuals. It's more of a reactive adaptation. . . and as far as I can tell, Geist are probabilistic! Essentially, until you face them, they're in a superposition of possible states, and only take final form(s) when you attack. *goes off to bone up on his understanding of quantum mechanics*

Everlasting Journey

No, it matches the even earlier Active Time Battle system from FFIV onward. Essentially, in "Wait " mode, enemies don't attack while you're selecting options in the menu, while in "Active" they can attack at any time. Your speed and agility affect who gets to move first and how often, and quicker characters often get more chances to attack. That's why your monsters are so often easily beating up on the characters, who're wearing heavy armor and are fairly slow.

Tainted Reality

I'll be the Arcane Magician/sorcerer.

My username is awfully long, so let's go with "Deimos" since another of my usernames has to do with "Terror." Unless you want "BT.."
Should I post a pic so you can model the sprite on me? I think that might be neat.

Cyber Factor

*has finished Demo A1* Not bad! I look forward to more and I'll be glad to help in any way possible!

Cyber Factor

I plan to do some of the aforementioned things After my play through. I'll also want to discuss the details of the "Nevada" tale,-are these real peolpe, in which case you might already have names planned for them? I wouldn't want to screw that up.. But in the second excerpt I'd like to say they're traveling with Captain Nero of the Belemnion.

. . .

*Groan* Triumph Fork. . .

Also why DO you have a different theme for each boss? Coo,l but is it wise?
BTW, one or two of the tunes need something -an event 0, I believe- inserted after the intro so only the send part loops.
I also have a few tunes I made randomly that might be interesting for the future.
