OK, so insults are degrading, and advice is useful. What I meant was that if you degrade something that's bad, then that's useful.
o.o No... What's useful is the advice related to the game, not the fact that your being a dick about it and insulting the person. If your degrading something your still being a dick no matter if the content was good or bad. There is ALWAYS a way to put advice in a positive way that will not only fix the problem at hand but leave the developer feeling good about themselves. If you can't understand that after my last post then there's no getting through to you. Whatever.

Calling the person a dumbass doesn't help though. The problem is with the product, not the person. So yeah, that's just pointlessly rude.

So if someone makes a terrible game, with maps that are just awful, character dialogue that makes no sense, and battles against beginning monsters with 10,000 HP...it's not the person's fault?

No.

The problem is with the person, and the fact that they have a terrible sense of design and have no idea to make a good product with the program they have. When you make everything in the game, the game then becomes an extension of your mind and ideas. It is you. Making fun on someone's game is making fun of them.
Right. Which is why you don't make fun of the game, you attempt to lead the creators toward better design and ideas through helpful advice. Or, to put it another way, mock a man for fishing badly and annoy him- teach him how to fish properly and feed him for a lifetime.

I'm sure there are ways to display screenshots without causing problems, such as a screenshot thread or integrating them into the blog.

Cyber Factor

Sorry about complaining that the digital nature of the world should be a surprise- you said quite clearly that the people were quite aware of it at the beginning. I'm gonna try the demo again. Let me know if you need anything.

I hope you don't mind if I do a little proofreading along the way . . . for example, I'm guessing you meant the monks should consecrate their partners, as a coronation is the crowning of a king or queen.

BTW, , would you mind if I worked with the bits of "20,000 Leagues under Nevada"? I think I could take what you have and spin it into a couple of "novel excerpts" for possible insertion into the game . . .

Tribal: The Awakening

Do I need the RTP to play?

Exposure?

I dunno- from your crushed reaction to the negative feedback in the past, I'd say you're looking for validation and praise, not critique. Unfortunately, not everyone will raise you up, so you've got to learn to be proud of yourself.

Don't worry so much what others think. Put your heart into your work and make something that you're proud of. That kind of honesty always goes over well.

Somebody talk me into/out of this

*Wonders how the game would play out with gijinkas*

Everlasting Journey

One concern of mine was that in Active mode the monsters, especially in the Tower, are often so fast they get in multiple hits before the heroes can even move, and use debilitating spells fairly often. However, my characters ARE wearing fairly heavy armor, which lowers Agility... hmm. One question, though- does AGL affect how fast the ATB gauge fills?

Honestly, I'm having some trouble surviving here. . .

Everlasting Journey

OK, I will for now but I hope there wasn'tt any nifty item there!. Just to warn everyone else, it's the first door you come to on the lower floor of Firam castle.

Looking For a Part-time Mapper

Question- is it possible to make them separately, send the data to you, and then have you patch the maps into the game? I might be able to do that as i have some free time, though I'm loosely involved in another project.
