Well, while you should definitely discuss it with Cam, one idea is to go with a more linear JRPG plot concerning a particular group of players and their online alter egos. One idea is to have the game world fractured and scattered among server stations, so it's necessary to travel in the real world to access certain areas and reunite them- an idea I came up with for a previous game. Be warned, ,I may still use it .. . :P

That Camupins left (even if it's temporary), and DameofSpace is taking up the mantle of Online Forces, would probably put a few wenches into your Synthetic Odyssey plans.

Honestly, Spacy, I'd suggest building your revamp on Cam's existing framework if possible; time spent recreating it in a different maker could be better used making forward progress, especially if you'd like to avoid being called Denial of Service.
