Horrible Game Endings

author=NoblemanNick link=topic=1002.msg27764#msg27764 date=1219279215
I surprisingly got the best ending so I thought it was ok, the boss fight where just to short and it felt like the matrix.

Exactly, I kept expecting someone to suddenly say something like "Good Evening Mr Anderson."

Horrible Game Endings

Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy as it's known in the US.

It kind of went downhill at the later stages of the game and then you got some crappy endings. The writers tried too hard in my opinion to make it appeal to too many audiences.

NPC Dialogue.

Just for fun I made a small town that had about five different areas and between 7-12 NPC's per area, it was orginally meant as a way to just unleash my creative side but became like a mini side-quest type thing, like doing odd jobs for the locals.

Anyway there was one NPC who was like the town gossip. Everytime you spoke to one of the many NPC's the gossip would have something to say about that particular NPC.

The Gossip's event screen was a mess I might add, programing not being my thing but it's a great way to just unwind and make fun of people who annoy you.

Post About games

I'd like a game with a well thought out storyline, it doesn't have to be a master-piece, but if it's something as sterotypical as save the princess from the evil tyrant at the Mountain of Death....then I doubt I'd be playing it anytime soon.

360 or PS3?

I've got both consoles but I bought the 360 first and I'd say that was the better choice, concidering how few PS3 games were out at the time. Currently I have five RPGs for the 360, however so far as I've seen the PS3 mostly has FPS, Action and Driving games out and there's only one PS3 exlusive RPG currently released, at least here in the UK.

I don't know if you have a better selection of games to choose from for the PS3 since games are released sooner in the US than here but If I had to recommend which console, I'd say the 360.

Speak thine name and enter

As you may have noticed I'm new, which isn't all that surprising really. Anyway, as my screen name suggests I am Carl or Carlos if you like. I am from Wales, which produced such people as Tom Jones, Catherine Zeta Jones, Shirley Bassey and Dylan Thomas.....my god...what have we done!? The mercyful thing would be to nuke our country now!

I've dabbled in RPG Makers 2000, 2003 and XP over the years and I'll tell you that as a programer I am aboslutely rubbish. I admit it I can do a little bit of RM programing but I'm nowhere near good enough to even concider making a full game by myself. I'm alright I suppose when it comes to ideas and writing a basic storyline but dialouge isn't something I'm exceptionally good at, so I think I'll stick to playing RPG games for now.

What else can I say about myself?

My favourite type of storyline when it comes to RPG Maker would be mystery/suspense, not necesseraly cop games, but any kind of story that has a deep hidden mystery that just calls for, if it's a murder mystery all the better. My all time favourite games have to be the Broken Sword series for the PC.

I think I've prattled on for long enough now, so I'll leave ti at that.
