Somehow, I'm reminded of boss fights against a supposedly super-powerful badass in which you somehow mop the floor with him.
Afterwards, your party is breathing heavily and the boss seems barely scratched aside froma cut or two on his cheek. Never mind the fact that you are actually more powerful than him now-- the game doesn't recognize that.

To different degrees. The island gets shitted on, the villagers become different, the whole "feel" of the island changes...

It's finally done-- the crew over at Starmen.net just released the English patch for MOTHER3! :DDD
The patch is for use on the Japanese ROM file. Unforutnately, it won't work on the orginal Japanese GBA cart. If you want to play it on am actual GBA, you'll need a Flash Cart. All the info you need is on the site. They have a bunch of other interesting stuff there, inculding a fan-produced, professional-level strategy guide with a variety of features.
Go crazy.
