LOL I also called McGee names when I got beaten by Alex, because my Evoker was never set to even swing her want (I hate using wands as weapons :P even having a fire rod).
Sooooooooooooo... I drained his MP and amplified my evasion.

Only thing I did for my game yesterday was edit my small mech sprite slightly...
But I did work for Mage Duel, counts as practice huh?:P

RPG Maker War Game?
You know, never bothered to play Dynasty Warriors, but played its clone, Gundam Musou (same thing, just with mechas) and that made me want war battles like that on my game. However ABS on RPG maker is not a good idea, in fact 2D ABSs are not that good for me (only thing good about 3D is exactloy how they make ACTION better for you to play seeing better camera angles... when done right!).
So what will I do? Mix the Dynasty Warrior system with Final Fantasy VI multi party battle, so instead of pure action, you have like 6+ parties on which you switch between with both key characters and ramdom troops. You go moving then and fighting hordes of touch encounters with soldier groups coming at you for a mission.
You conquer and defende areas and maybe has nom-playable ally parts to help/be helped by you on holding off enemies.
The actuall battles would use the regular battle system from my game (RMXP DBS with sideview stuff).
No idea if that may help you, if you want a war game I think it would kick ass as I described, now if you want it all same as DW with action battle system... maybe sit and wait Action Maker whatever and see what it can do.
