In memory of Selina Fritz is a short text-game made with RPG Maker VX Ace.
Selina was Hugo's girlfriend. She died from a cancer two years ago. Selina's ghost has appeared and she's following Hugo since her death to make him feel good.

markus, i like your sprites overall. a few things are using too many colors, the palm leaves especially. instead of doing a chunky gradient, try using 2-3 colors to shape out the fronds
the contrast on the wooden platforms front and top might cause a headache for background/foreground differentiation in the future, but it's... okay for now.
the clouds look like caviar. try adding a bit of dithering instead of just highlighted puffballs

@Markus - That looks great! The transition from the mountains to the sky is a bit... abrupt, I guess? But other than that I really don't see anything I dislike about the pixel work.

hey, from the discord it seems a lot of people aren't doing trad rpgs, but if you are then this might affect you (or rather, not?):
whenever you run a new version of a map/the rm executable, the game's savefile resets the $game_map data. this means that battlebacks are wiped from memory. so if, for example, you enter a building and cross over an event that changes a battleback, then save, edit the map, and load, the battleback will reset back to the map's original settings.
this only happens if you've done stuff in the editor. players just playing the game won't notice this unless they download a patch or edit the games themselves. you can test it yourself by making a Change Battleback event, saving, entering a battle to see if it worked, f12ing or quitting, then loading the save back up and doing the battle again. since you haven't touched the editor, the battleback is still in memory.

because most of yall are so young the joke is that i made an ara fell fangame when i was a kid and a lot of people made fun of me for it on gamingw until i showed off my mapping skills and then only half of them made fun of me for it

Maybe this should have been the Summer/Seasons event, but I suppose the only fitting sequel to Owlpocalypse is a hot and fiery summer vacation. May Leon and Mara finally get to lie on the beach and not worry about saving the world.
