if all you're gonna say to describe a screenshot is "nice atmosphere," dig a little deeper into your well of feedback and criticism

It's got great content!
Content.
Haha, it's a standard thing. Tho asking deeper questions will also always help~
It just takes that little bit of extra awesome to make it stand out.

I think a lot of us would be happy to receive even a single "looks good".
Haha yup, I think so too. Anything is good.
If you add more, even better. But I always love seeing people do that.
Sometimes you really like a thing but you can't express why! Not everyone's got years of experience and a finely tuned critical eye :P And it can be really nice getting little compliments... I'd say it's worth it :)
That said, if you're looking for slightly more complex or helpful compliments, you could always say how something made you feel, such as, "this scene is really peaceful" or "woah, this is intense!"
(note: not a zero-sum game. if you think something is bad you should provide actual critique instead of "this is bad".)

This.
Even though I draw, just can't come up with half the complex white-glove society definitions I see in some of the top creative corners, or in the three page discussion about which color you should use to write 'debuff'.
So generally I just end up "leaving to comment later" when I have some more detailed comment, yes, you know how this ends. x.x
But yep, I agree that more specific feedback is great, because those are the ones that helps you improve on point. '-')b

Shit, I'd settle for, "Looks like I'm the first comment."

I just want my 18th review
Do you really? I mean, I have only finished the first chapter of Hero's Realm so far, but I could try...
If a shot has great atmosphere, I'm gonna say it has great atmosphere. That said, I do understand where you're coming from - pointing out what you like about the atmosphere or if anything is jarring to it is a lot more helpful to you as a developer, but sometimes people don't understand -what- they like in the image or -why-, just that they do. And that's usually why they put the one-liner.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Your game looks good. I was playing it yesterday night under candlelight.
I know from commenting on a few images people have put up, I feel that I'm under-qualified to make remarks on how a map looks, or how an image looks, because I'm not privy to all the things concerning game make.
Because I've been known in the past to be hyper critical, and I'm never quite sure if that's what people want is someone to look at the image and find a flaw in it and point it out, or if the image is basically the 'finished' image.
>_> Pretty sure I overthink my posts and then simplify it at the end. lol
