Alright, I'm currently working on furniture at the moment and I'm painting a prison bed.



It's still wip but I'd like to know if there are things I should change before I go any further. The perspective seems a bit off but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Is there any reason why the shadow of the character on the left looks opaque while the shadows of the character on the right look semi-transparent (look better imho)?

I agree about the chair and the table. The rest looks great.

There are a few thing that look out of place in the fastfood (the pictures behind the counter) but it's really, really good stuff.

It's very generous of you to share all of this, kudos to you Calunio. I'll share your link on Oniromancie if you don't mind.
It really is a shame this won't be finished however, it looks really interesting.

I really appreciate the way you take some time to give some feedback on everything which has been posted. I've never seen that before on forums and I think it's a great attitude which I will try to emulate.

Your edit looks fantastic. I have no experience/theoritical knowledge when it comes to coloring so I just use my instinct. I tend to use a main color and a lighter and darker variant of that same color to shade whatever it is I'm painting.

I thought contrast was good to give perspective to something? Perhaps I'm contrasting too much?

About the lineart, I don't understand. I use Manga Studio and the lines look fine in the software but they seem to become jagged when I export to photoshop. Maybe I should use something for lineart.

PS: I do use Zelda for reference (perspective). I wouldn't want it took too similar though because it defeats the purpose of going custom.

Great trailer, I like it.

A few things:
*It might be a good idea to reduce the beam in intensity a bit. I think you should be allowed to see where the enemy is at all times. It's confusing to see the dog disappear in the beam as you don't know where they'll end up being when the animation is finished. I don't know if I'm being clear. Also, I think the beam animation takes too much space on the screen at the moment.

*Will there be other enemies beside the green dogs? It's the only enemy I've seen on your screens so far as I was curious.

I think it's a good start, there's definitely some potential there so I hope you'll keep on spriting (I can't even sprite grass like that). The capsule thing character is really not bad at all.

You seem to do the top of trees the same way I do it so it ends up looking like a bush on top of a tree. oh_no_I'm meltin and alter_ego did a pretty convincing edit to show how it could (should) be done:
