The Promised Land

Due to the many complications that this project has given me, it has come to my attention that continuing this project will only degrade the quality of the game. There are simply too many errors and bugs in this project that cannot be fixed. As a first project, it was a dreadfully painful experience, even more so after realizing just how badly the game tested out to be.

Therefore, I am making the executive decision that the download link be taken down and this thread locked. I will be discontinuing all fixes to this project and will no longer give any support for players who are playing the project.

Instead, please check out the progress of the newest project from Devil's Advocate gaming here:

Admins/Mods, please if you can, delete this from the archives.

Geez, how do you unlock the chest in the church? My husband is very mathematically inclined and he can't figure out the four digits. Is there some other clue than the one by the docks?

I can give the answer in a spoiler.

I'm playing it right now. I actually like what you have going here, story-wise. My only piece of feedback is, your intro is way too long. You need to cut it or make it so you start the game sooner and the history from the beginning intro can be added in as you go along.

I mean, I am still going through the intro as I write this, and I started playing nearly an hour ago.

It's not that long, sheesh. :P

You can skip the text from cutscenes, however, by holding down the SHIFT key.

An error was reported to me today, to which I have an appropriate fix. As such, the download will be re-uploaded later today when I find time.

Where is the download link?

Download has been posted. Hope you enjoy it.

It's only 95% complete as of now (even though it says complete), but I really am only putting it up for feedback and critique.

Star Stealing Prince

Downloading now. Will play tomorrow because I'm dead tired right now.

So, just for the sake of clarity...

In the room where Balerus gets killed and the Exitium Stone is taken, and you see the scroll in his hand that says something about "Exodus" and you have to input a password to open the next door...well obviously, the passcode is "Exodus", but I'm having trouble exactly putting in the numbers (because I didn't pay attention in Noor the first time around, which I probably should have). So, A=00, B=01, and C=02 and so on and so forth, or does A=01, B=02, C=03 and so on and so forth?

Also, the game's better than anything I could ever make. I'm using the thirty day trial version of the software, but I know it's definitely not going to be enough to get my work together.

Once again, thank you for the quick response.

Not sure what you meant by the Novriath thing being "uhh, okay," but I appreciate the feedback/compliments.

After the Val vs. Novriath fight in the Taebris forest, when Efflora appears, he magically seems to turn out better because he remembered who he was and what had happened. To me, it just kind of felt out of place.

It's me again.

Well, I think I am getting close to the end of the game, since I am now on my way to getting the Zeppelin. All in all, it's been a fantastic game with its ups and downs (The thing with Novriak was kind of "uhh, okay" and I occasionally get that "Stack Climb is invalid" Error Message). However...

When Syndarion says that you have to ride the current to get the Zeppelin, where exactly is that? I have been trying for the past hour now. Do I have to go inside the Onyx Mountains, or is there some other place that I have to go to first?

So, I recently downloaded this game (and by recent, I mean about a month ago), and I have to say, it's been a real blast playing it. The combat system is amazing and the story is well crafted (although encounters on the World Map could be just a bit more frequent). However, I just now realized that I am genuinely stuck.

So, here is my conundrum:

I have gotten through the mountains and have arrived at Noor. There is an NPC at Noor that tells you there is a way to get to Dargon again, with his men creating the tunnel by the blockade. Where exactly is this blockade at? I have been searching for about an hour now and have had no luck in finding it.
