I went ahead and uploaded version 1.31. The only thing it fixes is the "Hue Shift" and "Air Shimmer" traits, so if you aren't interested in those, I'd save the trouble of downloading.

Sin, if you could download it and let me know if it fixes your problem, I'd appreciate it. I made a couple of minor changes to the hotkey detection loop. I guess I should also ask - does it always happen, or have you only tried with one specific save file? You may want to try it with a new character, too - that way I'll know whether it's a switch or something that wasn't being properly set.

Thanks. That's good to know, and still strange - those special keys use API calls that haven't changed since the demo, so I'll have to dig deeper. Hopefully somebody else with come forward with the same issue.

Hey Sin, if you don't mind me asking - Do you play on an older computer? I test on two machines - a year-old laptop with Windows 8, and a desktop from 2006 with Windows XP. I thought it might be a lag/performance issue, but it worked just fine on both, so I'm at a loss. I didn't make any big changes to the API that processes the hotkeys, either. Is it just the numbered keys, or do the Z and X keys have the same delay?

Could be something to do with the new "Rest" function. I'll make sure there's nothing hanging up the "check for hotkey" part of the loop and try to get an update out next week.

If anyone else has the same issue, do let me know!

Thanks! I've actually been shy about pitching it as a roguelike since it's a lot softer on difficulty and interaction options than your usual game. But since I could be wrong, I'll keep that in mind!
