Hi!

Oh man, I have to find out four years later? I've always had a pretty consistent strategy in mind (Clapian on the front row, the others 2 spaces behind to avoid the lightning, take out the cronies first) meant to enforce all the aspects at once - positioning, weapons/armor types, and elements.

I can lower his starting stats, I suppose, but then I'll have to make an updated version just for that and upload it and ughhhhh we'll see. If anyone else wants to chime in, I'd love to hear it.

Oh, also, completing accomplishments gives you more starting Favor with future characters. I think it's 200 per. I won't touch that entry since I think it would be an entirely different thing.

(Edit) Since they're mentioned in the list proper anyway, I reckon you can list them like the others, but in white bars.

Aww, it's okay! I got plenty of nitpickery from my other testers in the meantime!

And since I was going to make a post anyway:

Hello testers, followers, and wallflowers! It's finally happening - I am releasing the full game on Friday the 16th! It's been a crazy week and I need a few extra hours for some last-minute tweaks, so I've delayed it by a day. I'll probably do the upload at around 8:00pm Eastern time.

I'll also be uploading a "classic track pack" so you can have additional music during your crawling, as well as a ZIP of the "official" soundtrack.

And for posterity's sake, here is a list of changes between the final beta version and the full game:

-Fixed an issue where getting too far away from the final boss could cause the game to freeze.
-Gnarled Branch now has the correct floor graphic.
-The "Jungle Hunter" trait no longer grants a stealth bonus from loose stones or magma eterna, and should properly grant stealth on several forms of plantlife.
-Tweaked enemy defenses so that their innate type (e.g. Shra with Body, etc) is more resistant to damage.
-Increased the spawn rate of floor elements.
-Accomplishment #4 now requires half as many kills to complete.

Call for Testers, and a Status Update!

Version 8 is up! No fanfare this time!

Changes:
-Item properties have been split into two lines on the inventory screen.
-Juggled around several enemy properties to keep them from overlaying the health bar area.
-Changed secret character #5's first trait to be something more useful.
-The washed-up net now correctly restores Mind when used.
-Fixed very rare instances where "use" and "eat" values were being swapped on the inventory screen. Again. Serious this time.
-Fixed an issue where UI elements would remain on-screen when using F12 reset.
-"Relive Agony" now correctly costs Body health.
-"Amnesia" now has a higher chance to take effect, and forces the enemy to turn in a random direction as well.

Call for Testers, and a Status Update!

The hits keep on coming! Beta version 7 is up! Here is the changelog:

-Moke's stats have been rebalanced to make him more useful. He now has better vision, and full knowledge of all "POISON" type items. You will have to start a new game as him to see the benefits.
-The healing effect icons on the inventory screen are now in Use-Eat-Throw order to match with the context menu.
-The "Acute Observation" ability now tells both high and low stats in the same casting.
-Fixed an exploit that was possible with secret character #3.
-Enemy #117 should spawn more often now.
-Snapping Death now has a proper animation for its special attack.
-The enemy special attack "Binding Light" now has a proper animation.
-Ashenberries now have the correct graphic.
-Removed a few "FEARS" properties from boss enemies.
-All essence-granting items have had their essence rewards increased. Trophy items will now give much more essence.
-Increased the damage multiplier on several Noxious spells.
-"Sepsis" now correctly inflicts Body damage.
-Holyland Sand has been changed from SI'SHRALURE to SI'SHRACHARM (lull effect instead of befriending).
-"HATES ANTI*" properties should now be revealing correctly on socially-aggressive enemies.
-You should no longer "forget" your starting weapon if it's unequipped. Whoops; this one's coming next time.
-Blackblade Shard weapon should now pick up correctly.
-Names and properties with apostrophes should now be consistent across the board. This was causing an effect where "fih`jik" was different from "fih'jik", for instance, and some special effects were not triggering properly.
