While I'm at practicing my newfound power over this board, I'd like to propose an idea. I have a long, elaborate reasoning behind it, which I'm NOT going to post, taking Marrend's subnormal attention span into account, only if you ask for it or oppose it.
I think would be for the better if we had a voting system, just between us creators, to rate custom content. I have the rules worked out, in case you guys deemed it as much of a necessity as I do. What do you all think?

How is this bad? If this IS bad, so are random events that give you Mind points. But I don't think either is. It's not unfair, it's realism.

No, you aren't. But you're acting like it's a problem when it isn't. You can't have your way with every single girl on the planet in a single playthrough, can you? And I don't think we're supposed to be able, either. If you pursue Masako, you can say bye-bye to Tsubasa. Go for Hinami, and you can bet you'll have a hard time getting Mayu. Conversely, getting, say, Izumi's and Miki's ending in the same time is pretty easy, with their preferences overlapping. And that's perfectly fine. That's how the real world works.
And besides, by your logic, the Question mark events, Grandma Gifts and whatnot are even more harmful, being random and all. I've been thrown out of Akari's route once, after a teacher made me neurotic. So what? Never heard me whine about it, because it makes sense.

There was talk before of allowing stat buffs/debuffs as part of story code, but I believe it ended with flowerthief saying that allowing such control for stories would be too powerful. I mean, we have (supposedly) REPEATABLE events. That plus stat buffs/debuffs would get pretty bork!

Altering on-hand money has never been placed on the table, though. Probably for the same reasoning of the ability to combine with REPEATABLE events leading to breaking game balance.

Okay, what? This is the reason? Is this A Reason for anything? Seriously? We have cheat codes, guys. Public. Cheat. Codes. If anyone wanted extra cash or stats, they'd give themselves! In-story buffs are not cheating, they are(what shock) a part of the story. As long as it makes sense in context, it's fine! And what's with game balance? This is a single player game, for crying out loud! Everyone plays in any way they friggin' please!
But oh boy, I guess some frantic editor would eventually write a story that gives crazy amounts of stuff to the player! Or takes everything he hasO.o! Too bad there's no one who would point that out during beta tes-OH WAIT, that's why we're here, isn't it? -.-
