Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Yeah man, I'm noticing that. And once you get like a few missions in, you can't use lightsaber barely. I just put all my talents into Force Lightning and fry everything, including boss battles. The platforming is horrible, and there's so many times when it's confusing where to go next. In an adventure platformer game, you'd expect this to be obvious... That, and I don't know what is so interesting about this story. So far it's just one lame excuse after the next explaining why you go to Planet ___.
Video Game Purchases
Just bought:
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
and
Call of Duty 4.5 whatever name it is. WWII agaaaain.
Spidey was hard to control at first because the movements are finnicky and quick; however, the more you play the easier it is to use. I actually really love the improvements over previous Spider-Man titles. Now you can combat in the air, and on the wall as easy as on the ground. It's incredible, and there's no sense of vertigo. The city is enormous, and the little 'save the civilian' tasks are fun; enemies have little more variety; and combat as I mentioned is great. The range of moves makes for an entertaining battle. Acrobatics while swinging has been improved, and they kept that mechanic that says web must stick to something for swinging. Then there's the ease of using the Black Suit. Ohhh that's fun.
On the bad side, there's some graphical glitches since they were probably pressed for time rendering this on all platforms. And I've witnessed one loading error and two camera glitches. Also, the lock-on system is a pro/con in that great for battle, but when swinging along and you try to target one group, you might end up targetting some goblin flyers in the air, making your camera impossible to use.
Force Unleashed - I'm only two levels in, but what I've played so far has kept me interested. The story is a little meh, and the biggest thing I dislike so far is the narrow paths I have to traverse. It'd be great to wander off in this junkyard and play with my Force, but the game has me on a skinny strip of explorable area. Finally, the freaking menu loads for 10 seconds or so. What the hell is that? Next Gen, pah!
CoD-haven't played this yet. I'm not at home, so don't have internet on my PS3 atm. Surely it'll kick butt.

Roxas and Axel
Not that I really want to dive in and save Kingdom Hearts some face; Riku was like near dead or something at that point. But you guys are right, it would be more macho to spit on his weakness and walk off by yourself instead of help a comrad. Silly Square-Enix.

I'm not american, sorry. :)
It's a first draft.
EDIT: I shouldn't be allowed on the net when I'm in a bad mood after an equally bad day.
The Death And Return Of Max McGee
What's Awesome?
Wilfred the Hero is one of the best games I've played on RPG Maker. There was that Sailor Moon-like that I forget the name of Something Lance I think. Oh well, it failed to take off anyway.
EDIT:
Also try U.S.G. ~A New Beginning~
Take Down: Panda of Destiny
Barkley's Shut Up And Jam : Gaiden
Barkley's Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden is the most innovative game out there for the indie RPG crowd. At least Around These Parts.
Those three are all different, and might give you some ideas about battle systems etc.

A Christmas story for 2008
Drips of red liquid plop-plopped into a pool gathering on the floor. Each drip fell free from the fingertips of Calvin Dweck. He lay still on the table-side bench of his trailer, mouth half open. He was the star actor of this years Christmas blockbuster. The movie to move a nation. With a star-studded cast, and an inspirational message. The biggest Christmas movie of the decade. CalvinDweck was to be this years award winner, with this movies' acting. However, Calvin Dweck was now dead.
As the drip-drip of Calvin's blood fell to the ground, there was noise coming through his door. Knocks had gone unanswered and angry shouts from the director had been ignored. Was Mr Dweck being stubborn? He would get a raise if he just came out, please. Finally, Calvin's personal assistant tried to pry open the door. It remained firmly locked, and it took the strength of a burly security guard to break it open. When the guard stood back, Calvin's assistant stood in the frame for a moment, her mouth slowly falling open. After a moment too many, she screamed. Others clamored to her side and peered inward. Everyone was talking at once, no one knew what to do. Before long, more security guards came bustling forward in their little golf cart. After making the crowd move aside, they surveyed the situation and informed the police. Calvin Dweck was now dead.
The director of this years Christmas blockbuster was busy wringing his beret in hands. Every so often he would reach out to yank his assistant within an inch of his face and demand things like; "What will we do?" and "Why did this have to happen with only two more shoots left?" and "Why haven't you done anything yet?"
"Mr. Shuter, we will need to recast the roll, or perhaps edit him out of the script," offered the director's assistant.
The director paused in wringing his beret for a moment. "Too right. Get the writers to meet me in the board room by noon. Send a letter and flowers to Mr.Dweck's mother."
"Yes sir, Mr. Shuter." The assistant made a few notes.
"Well? What are you standing around here for? This kind of thing always takes too much time. Hurry up!"
With that, and to avoid the director's swinging beret, the assistant ran off.
Mr. Shuter stood up, placed the beret artfully on his balding head, and sauntered towards the gathering press. "Ah, it would seem there has been a death in the family..."
Paparazzi cameras clicked, pencils whirred cross pads of paper, and many questions were raised. It did not, the director made sure, last until lunch time.
Because I can't post this many words on this forum... here's a link to the full story:

Tell us about where you live.
Toronto, ON
There's a lot of tall buildings, and the world's largest free-standing tower.
People generally avoid contact when out and about, but are overcome by the Canadian niceness when stuck in situations together.
There's plenty of areas to go for artsy folk, and as many niche pockets as you can think of.
This is where I currently live.
Guelph, ON
Where I grew up, 45 minutes away from my current dwelling. It's a small city with small town ideals. Everyone and the bus driver are friendly, despite the constant influx of student-types; the bane of this fare city. University kids are the reason for loud, late-night brawls, pain-in-the-ass night life, and degrading property value. The university is one of the top ten in North America, sure great, but it certainly brings in more trouble than it's worth.
Guelph is a great town otherwise. If you're adapt to change. It's one of Ontario's testing grounds for new ideas. The green/blue/clear garbage separation, calling card, and traffic-calming light systems were trialed here among other places.
Also, the Guelph Storm OHL (Ontario Hockey League) team is kick-ass.
