Final Fantasy XII

I felt that it lacked many redeeming qualities - and the dungeons were waaaaay too long, there were huge areas of no plot, just random wondering through generic 'sewer' or 'ruin'. Does that make sense?

And you are...? (THE INTRODUCTION THREAD)

Sorry for the late reply:

Those webcomics are ENKER'S TALE and KNAVE I can provide links if you like but didn't want to spam the forum without permission ;)

Final Fantasy XII

Is it just me or does Final Fantasy 12 just plain suck? I mean I KNOW it's pretty to look at, but the combat system was dull, the plot uninspiring and the game as a whole made up of waaaay to many fetch and carry quests? What happened to the games that would grip you from the second you saw the opening sequence and not let go till the credits rolled? What happened to character interaction so deep you cried when one died? In short - what happened to the series and where did FFXII go wrong?

Nintendo Virtual Console

Yep Dragon Quarter sure did my head in too!

I hear that BEYOND OASIS is out on VC now (story of thor over here in the UK) I used to LOVE that game!!

Talents/Hobbies/Redeeming Qualities of Some Sort

I'm a qualified and working Graphic Designer / Illustrator as well as a published writer of articles / short stories and stage plays. I also act and sing. I run two webcomics and am currently working on a radio-show for use in the UK.

wow - who'd have thought I'd have time to play or dally at making RPGs?

FF12 Help

I found that NO BOSS IN THE WHOLE GAME couldn't be beaten by successfully chaining together a full rosta of mist special attacks - If you haven't gotten them for the characters yet, stop filling in odd skills or sections and just make a b-line straight for the specials, then double back later.

DON'T YOU JUST HATE...

lol you know what I mean - table manners are a dying art ;)

RPGS... you've beaten

I have to agree with the Zelda arguement - more action game less rpg, though some have been closer to being one than others. I've never got on a great deal with their recycling of plot elements and dungeon ideas for new generations of games. I know FF does a certain amount of cycling, but they have enough new material to make that work, LOZ spends a lot of time retreading known territory.

RPGS... you've beaten

lol amusingly I STOPPED adding games I'd finished before the list got too long, lol.

I do play a lot of games, but then I've been roleplaying since the NES era (24 years old) - and yes my friend, KOTOR is one I've played through, and its sequel. Impressive use of a license!

How does one . . .

Sorry guys, I'm new and was wondering how one goes about building up a log / adding download links and images to their games profile? I'm keep to get stuck in and join the community :D

Love the site, especially the layout/look - speaking as a professional Designer / Illustrator.
