New Developer Mapping Help Thread
Thank you @LockeZ
Actually, the village is supposed to be a place where the magical hedge maze cannot invade..hence, the green barrier thingy. But I see your point and I am willing to improve.
Now I am stumped how to deliver a settlement with the above setting in mind.

Hello guys, I am back!
@OzzyTheOne Thanks for the tip. Highly appreciate it and will apply it to the maps to come
@Aneko I prefer the skeletons are reduced to one? I dunno. IMO, a single dead body that's interactable and the reaction of the MC to it can give much impact?
Here is a map I was supposed to use. But story changes in the game development makes me think it won't be implemented. I kind of post it here to gain feedback to improve myself.
NOTE: I kind of intentionally made it without too much details. I am stumped on what details can I insert without it being crowded? Thanks :) Any opinion/suggestions for that matter is welcome.

I can't somehow put a spoiler tag?
Will edit this when I figured it out
EDIT: I got way too used with RMW.. I discovered you use hide tag here!

Hello, there.
I am currently mapping some areas of my first short game(kind of)
Any feedback is accepted. Thank you.

As you see, it is kind of barren. I will populate it with soldiers guarding the city's entrance.
EDIT: Thanks Liberty for correcting me ( I'm kind of new to this forum thingums)
I will also add some adventurers, merchants, and some kids playing in this map..
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
Hello! Currently working on my (hopefully) first completed game. It's about an adventurer searching for her kidnapped cats. Currently struggling in mapping but shift mapping articles on the web kind of help. Also, working on the story as I need to redefine the plotpoints and make each scene have a conflict of sorts?

Thanks for this article!
Right now, I have a big epic rpg plan but I guess I have to put it in the attic for five years or so.
That's why I am now trying to make short games or will dividing the epic rpg into
small bite sized episodes work better? Will it make it manageable?

I really enjoyed this game. The overall atmosphere really communicated the emotions to the player. The "Perception" thingie is awesome!

WIP Pixelart...
As you can see, it is very basic and noobie.
Also, I am in a crossroads on what color will the mountains be.
grey, brown, or lush green mountain?
