[MAFIA] - Shin Megami Tensei {GAME OVER}

The names seem to be mostly flavor for the game. I don't think they were ever intended to give hints about our alignment.

We don't know how investigations will turn out over the night phase either, so I'll wait till that before deciding who the best target might be.

I agree completely.

No, you've got it backwards. Piano was Demi-fiend, Kloe was Pyro Jack.

UGH!
You're right...

This silly thing is giving me a headache...

[MAFIA] - Shin Megami Tensei {GAME OVER}

Ugh...These names are throwing me for a loop right now...

I know I said before that we should throw the names out, but evidence is slowly stacking in the contrary here...

Piano was "Pyro-Jack", a Neutrally Aligned demon, Piano flipped Neutral
Kloe was "Demi-fiend", a Chaos, Kloe flipped Humility (pro-chaos faction)
Liberty was "Lucifer", a Chaos, Liberty flipped Chaos

However, demonlord has posted that he is either "Gabriel" or "Belial", either Law or Chaos, respectively.

In my case - I'm not afraid of sharing - my Primary is "Ghost-Q" a Neutral, which, thanks to Frogge and other powers that be, is clearly false; and my Secondary name, "Dagda", which carries no alignment in the series at all, is of no indication to my faction, and therefore, assumably Neutral. Again, false.

So, how are we to take what demonlord has said regarding his name? Is it something worthy of note, or not? Especially considering he has given us two names on opposing sides of the spectrum.

If they mean something, than demonlord may have purposefully tipped his hand about his name being Belial only after I pushed the idea that the names meant nothing, because he thought it was then safe, and he had little to lose, and all the trust to gain.
However, this also means that he could be telling the truth about Gabriel, and he is in fact a Law-aligned player.

Or, it all could still mean nothing, like in my case...

I'm not trying to put all suspicion on demonlord, but since he and I are the only ones (in my recollection) that shared 'names' we are the only two examples readily available.

Yeah, my apologies for not getting on sooner, but I was traveling home from me motherland...

I'm on the same boat as Nessiah in saying that I'm quite baffled on who's who considering the finger-pointing going in four directions. I will, however, agree that Kloe and Frogge both look a bit suspicious in the midst of this, but Frogge is giving info. Since I may not be back on, myself, I will - reluctantly - vote:

#lynch Kloe

And, since I didn't say it myself, I can back Zeuzio in saying that neither him nor I are a part of a "chaos" faction.

[MAFIA] - Shin Megami Tensei {GAME OVER}

Fair enough. I'd be suspicious of myself, too, to be honest.

I'm just trying to be cautious of whom we kill considering this game is clearly not black-and-white, whereas most Town VS Mafia games are.

[MAFIA] - Shin Megami Tensei {GAME OVER}

I was about to say that lynching Liberty over demonlord would have been incredibly silly, considering Liberty may (or may not, I suppose anyone can lie about that) have an investigative ability.
Unless I missed something, ask yourselves:
What does demonlord bring to the table here other than that he is aware of an event on day 6? And one that few others are aware of at that?

Liberty's argument held water.

demonlord's did not.

Although he admittedly did his best to say he had no mal-intent, for me, claiming to be Gabriel, and that that has anything to do with his alignment, has unfortunately just made me even more suspicious of him.

But there's also the point that Cave told us that not everyone would immediately know their alignments.

We do, however, know that my alignment is not Neutral, and in my case, I have a Neutral character's name. Even if demonlord does not yet know his alignment, it is clear that the "character's alignment = player's alignment" theory, may not be 100% accurate. That's why I said, "be wary"

demonlord's character alignment may be very accurate. I don't really know...

[MAFIA] - Shin Megami Tensei {GAME OVER}

I don't know how much names will actually help here, though...

My name is "Ghost-Q", who, according to the Wiki, is of Neutral alignment, which, thanks to Frogge, is obviously not true.

Be wary... Anyone can just look things up on the Wiki...

Eh, no Red. Honestly, I now think you and Lib are scum buddies. Just a hunch.
Again, frogge would have to be lying for this to be true. Don't know about Libby, but demonlord is being way more suspicious in my eyes.

Just want to REALLY re-iterate this post here...

Also, Kloe, I would love to dispel any questions as to my involvement with Liberty (which I can promise you, does not exist), granted, if someone can do that Out-Of-Thread investigation thing on my post.

*snip* I did assume that certain teams losing (law/charity), was part of some big event since I don't know for sure if all teams lose at that point. The going past bit was an oversight on my point, as I had originally read it as happening on day 6.

I'm treating law/charity as the town team, chaos/humility as the scum team, and the other two as neutral teams. So if I say town or scum/mafia, that's what I mean.

And I still think that this is a large oversight, as well as throwing any alignment into any sort of boat when, from what I can tell so far, nobody loses from someone else's win (with the exception of something mentioned earlier, I believe by Frogge, about some faction winning more than another).
