You steam the rice or boil it first (this may seem a no brainer, but I've been told to fry it straight out of the bag), then after it's cooked, wash it, then put it in the refrigerator to cool off. The next time you try your hand at fried rice, see what kind of difference this makes.
Really! LOL I'll have to let my brother know, he always makes extra rice so that he can put half in the fridge and make fried rice the next day cause he finds it tastes better that way. I'll have to let him know he's doing it proper XD Also, white pizza is indeed awesome ;___; I also really like pesto instead of pizza sauce
I haven't have lunch yet today but soon I will be making some udon noodle soup with shrimp and pork dumblings :D
Edit: Dumplings lol i assure you, I do not plan to cook dumb people and put them in my soup, ahahaha not at all, nooo... *Glances around nervously*

I think that the only problem with the first one is the lack of an intensely light color like in the second and third ones!
(not exactly lack, you basically swapped the light blue shade with the lightest of the bluish gray ones!)
GENIUS. You're right. I liked the blue but there was something that wasn't quite cutting it for me.
That's a lot of votes for the middleman lol even everyone I asked here at home was like "Middle one plz" Sssssoooooo I guess I'll continue working on the middle one today XD I got so many AA touch ups and fixings to do now DX

I have yet to try to implement any of these cause I don't do 3D modeling (Though I would like to try to get into it) but I am an absolute sucker for that Breath of Fire style. Almost all of my favorite RPG's are 3D iso with 2D characters. Love it :D

I'm trying to find a balance between good-looking colors and speed right now; I think my colors tend to get worse the more time I spend tweaking them ;_; These sketches have really simple color schemes and styles... I'd love to hear what you think about 'em!
It's a long read, but I was struggling with making a good palette earlier this year and found this forum thread helped me more than I could have ever hoped Color Theory thread. Now yes, it is for pixel art, but I applied everything I learnt here to my digital and traditional work and found it extremely beneficial to that as well :D It's a lot to just sit and read in one sitting, so I just recommend skimming over a few posts here and there in your free time or in between pieces.

GAH, your work is just incredible! Love it. Those jeans, I can just look at them all damn day.
And thank you! You totally caught me LOL While I did originally think "AWW Barret would look so cute with tiny little footsies <3" I then immediately thought "TINY LITTLE FOOTSIES ARE SO EASY TO PIXEL."
But at this point, what I am doing I don't even. I need to take an hour or two break so my brain won't explode. Let it cool off a bit to look at the image again with a more clear frame of mind instead of my current "OH GOD WHAT IS ANY OF THIS" after an hour of palette picking. This is my first time trying to pixel a glow-effect, so aaaaaaannnnnyyyy C&C shall be worshipped.

Ahhh thank you so very kindly! n_n I give a lot of credit to pixeljoint, they're a kind of community that if they see someone is open to advice and C&C they will give all the knowledge they have and gladly answer any questions to help. It's great. They've helped me and continue to help me out a loooott. Even with my last piece, Yorda there, I got some good technical advice, friggin A.
