HUYOSUMI'S PROFILE

Ever since the early days of the Playstation (PS-ONE) I had been infatuated with the RPG Maker series. I had made countless (about 5 that I actually finished) games using the Rpg maker Playstation game and even after I got a PlayStation 2 I still played the first game. I had tried RPG Maker 2 and 3 and couldn't connect with them as I had done with the first. So I was thrilled to find a PC version.
I have always loved to draw and make up characters and stories as well, and RPG maker was a useful outlet. While I doubt my skills in those fields, I still have alot of fun.
I love games that give me feels, that make me think, and that tell me a story.I have recently become obsessed with independent pixelated horror games made using RPG maker technology (such as Yume Nikki, Mad Father, .flow, etc).
That's all for now, thank you for reading it.

Gentille Alouette Demo

It's kinda alright for a demo.
Although I must say that the story seems to be told a little too fast to the spectator to catch up. Who are all these characters? Why should I bother knowing them? Most characters appear and leave so fast that I can't quite get what they're up to.
I dig the atmosphere, despite the fact that I didn't get the story too well for actually care about why the world is the way it is. Not much is explained besides some texts in the introduction and some dialogs here and there.
What surprised me was that little trial minigame. I liked that part and have never seen that in other games around here.

Oh, and please, don't give the player the illusion of choice unnecessarily. Instead of

>Go out?
No...
No...

Try explaining with text, like:

"Alouette doesn't want to go out, but he knows he must do it if he wants to fix the music box."

Overall, I can't say I like it that much, but with enough polish, it could turn out very good.
I understand, thank you very much. I've seen the illusion of choice done in other games and really liked it, like the character your playing as feels so strongly that they 'break' the game, I may leave that in but then again I'm not sure. By the characters do you mean the Jacques sisters or the people at the trial? I'll admit the Jacques seem really out of place, they were supposed to be scattered throughout the game like team rocket but their scenes just didn't... seem good, so I cut a lot of them out, overtime each character gets alittle more personality built onto them. Thank you SO much for playing and taking time to comment!

Easy as hell mini game like the previous summary said. There aren't many things you can tell about this game. It has the main items that other games have, but without puzzles or a long story explication through events or revelations. It can be called "nice" and "friendly" with the gameplay but nothing more to say, honestly.

Not bad, but It's a pity that with the potencial showed It didn't make more things.

5/10 It's ok

THANK YOU SO MUCH I don't even think it deserves even THAT much praise, thank you!

The Count of Venomlurk Manor Review

I'm laughing, sorry, this was just a demo and I actually forgot about this game for a LONG time. I worked really hard on it for a while and just gave up. But thank you for making a review about it though, I only wish I had the mind to finish it they way I wanted to.

It looks very cool! Subscribed :3

author=There will be some horror elements reminiscent of jhorror rpg maker games such as OFF and .FLOW.

Just to clarify, OFF was actually made by a Belgian team.

[RMVX ACE] Is this possible with Common events?

I've done it! It was a PAIN in the butt but it finally works. Thank you LockeZ! I read your instructions super carefully and finally got it!
I used the conditional branch that checks for the switch in the beginning and after that I had a set of other conditional branched that check for the labels I put after every hour. Like if the variable "time" is at 3 it knows to jump to label 10am! I also found that I had the variable "time" add 1 to itself AFTER the hour (what a DUMMY), like it would add 1 to MAKE the variable know it was 10am AFTER it was already 10am. Thank you so much everyone! Now I can work on there rest of this game!

[RMVX ACE] Is this possible with Common events?

In writing this I have found another angle to try
okay so I still have the wait 900frames 4 times and adding 1 to the variable time.
However, I noticed that at the beginning I have the "Time" variable SET to 1 instead of adding 1 for the first hour, as I might need that for the new day, but maybe that's whats messing me up.
So anyway, I could have the player "check a watch" that is another common event that waits for a button press and reads whatever number the "time" variable is on.
Like push button, variable "time" is at 3, flashes that is 10am
yeah...hopefully that works but all suggestions are welcome!

[RMVX ACE] Is this possible with Common events?

I think that's exactly what I did. I'll try and describe it and someone can tell me where I went wrong.
-OK so it's all in common events-
I DO have a switch that starts the timer "Timer ON"
When that is on, the common event "Time" begins
In "Time" a small picture of the hour is displayed in the top left corner
since 1 minute is 60 sec is 3600 frames and "wait" can only go up to 999 frames, I have it wait 900 frames four times to simulate a minute.
Then the hour will change and 1 is added to the variable Time
so 8am is 1 9am is 2 10am is and so on.
HOWEVER when I go to another map the "Time" variable goes back to 1 regardless of what has been.

Use variables instead of the timer.

http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/2373-day-and-night-time-tutorial-with-demo/

This is helpful but when i try to download the demo, Google says its malicious. But it's a very good tutorial.
I have the system, I just need it work when the map changes and not go back to the beginning of the common event, if I could download the demo i could see how they do it.
Thank you very much though.
