ILAN14'S PROFILE
Just a simple guy from Argentina that loves RPG's as much as you do, and hopes to being able to, at least, make a decent one myself someday...
In the meantime, I'm contributing to the site by making reviews. Well, for now I'm only capable of making one review per month, but you have to start somewhere, right? :P

RMN - The Sunderlands
You found a canteen with half of it's water, but the rest of the items in the backpack are useless. Do you want to explore the cave and look for another way out, get out of the cave and attempt to fight the cannibals, or do something else?

For the way you describe it, it may look that to implement the AI feature I may need a script for that...

By the way, if there must be no randomness, I guess that the enemies must have a set attack pattern, am I correct?
P.S. : There isn't a chance to add achievements to the contest, right?

How is that? Because when I select Submit, I only see the options of Select Team, Select Download, and the button of Submit Entry.

Hi again, I have three questions more:
- The game can only have one battle?
- The graphics have any incidency in the chances of winning the contest?
- How do you submit a download to the Event Locker? Because in the Submit section I didn't found it...

Thanks! That's all I needed to know! By the way, I'm going to use VXAce, but I didn't even started the game yet. :|
Now, I have doubts about the prizes:
- The reasonable drawing, how is that about? You draw something so that I can use in my game or it's only some kind of gift or souvenir?
- About the game cameo, what is your next game and in which engine will be made?

When did you figured it out that you were a gamer?

Also, is that supposed to be a play in the last photo?
Now I've seen everything!

author=Hasversauthor=Ilan14As for what decides when you can use a skill, you're free to choose - you could decide that some skills become available only based on certain status conditions, or certain past actions by the player or by the enemy, or more elaborate ideas. It's like learning (or forgetting) skills during the battle, if you wish, or you could also take inspirations from deck-based games such as Magic the Gathering, where the actions you can do vary in time because of what you have in your hand.
If there must be only a HP bar, how do you stop your character for using his most powerful skill with no restrictions? There can be a shop in the game? Do I have to implement an unconventional way of learning skills?
So, you mean that I could make, for example, make a skill trigger a common event to check an enemy status after being used and then lock and unlock skills depending if that enemy has said status? Something like that?

Yes, I'm joining to the bloodfest!
By the way, I have a pair of questions:
- If a custom battle system can be used, does that mean that scripts can also be used?
- I don't understand well how skills and items must be implemented in the game. If there must be only a HP bar, how do you stop your character for using his most powerful skill with no restrictions? There can be a shop in the game? Do I have to implement an unconventional way of learning skills?
Could someone explain this to me, because I'm quite confused. Thanks.
