I finished a custom menu system animated with pictures. The neat part of it is that instead of having all the options lined up, you can navigate around them as they swap smoothly before your eyes.

These lads have been working on their games for years, and back then 2k and 2k3 was the version of RPG Maker that was available.

Souefans, for instance, developed La Leyenda Heroen for about twelve years. Dangaioh had been working on DSG for many years before his computer's hard drive exploded.

What you suggest probably requires a great dose of experience to be done properly.

If it really is that unclear how to program such a system maybe you should aim for a less ambitious project for now.

You never told us what RPG Maker or engine you're interested, but I know there's a handful of scripts for RMXP that create a platform based system.

That was a nice profile for the game, but there's something that puzzled me. Does a "free" demo imply that the final product will be a commercial game?

A JPG file will mess up the edges of the items you're importing, and that will usually lead to results like the one in your screenshot.

You just need to be more careful next time you make this sort of compilations. Good luck!

You probably made the white parts completely white (as in RGB 255, 255, 255) and kept the background white as well, so when you chose it as the transparent colour, it messed it all up.

My advice would be to edit the tileset and remove all the pure white or pure black colours and maybe give it a different background colour before you import it again.

I worded my reply in a strange manner now that I read it again. Sorry about that.

PS: Now that I look at the screenshot more carefully, I can tell that you made several mistakes when you put this tileset together. You have probably saved it as a wrong file type as well, try .PNG next time.
