Well, I'm glad you like the series, and I do try to work on P2R from time to time, it's just I've been busy with other things.
I am currently playing Dragon Quest 11, so no game making time for me. If you finished P1, have you tried fighting some of the optional bosses? There is some in the arena and there's a couple hidden dungeons in the game as well.

Yes, the series does have a chronological timeline. On the Phantasia 6 game page, there is a tab that shows history of Gaia and it shows a point where each game takes place, if you're going to look at it, beware of MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR spoilers, so look at it at your own risk.

Oh, that version of the game is long since canceled. I plan to do something with it in the distant future, but it's not my highest priority right now.
And as for P2R, I haven't fully tested the dungeon, so that is the reason why you'll have to wait.

I haven't finished the final dungeon in P2R, and beating the masked man? He isn't that hard, if he is charging up his attack, it means he will unleash Cold Avalanche and that means your team should defend.

Where does this bug occur? If you can point where exactly, and a screenshot would help a lot as well so I can locate it.
Also, to use the Finale Strikes in P2, the limit bar has to be full in order for you to use the skills.

Oh! I could've sworn that P2R ended where they made a solution for that Dark Elemental thing, I suppose there's no harm updating the game, it gets you a little further but once again, all that's left is the final dungeon, sooo yeah. :P
And I'm still working on P6, I took a break from it for a month to work on a platforming project, but now I have to stop working on that to go back to work on P6.
As for P2R, simply going back to work on it isn't as easy as it sounds, motivation is a heavy factor to want to return to work on that game.
