Is AIM down for anyone else?
I can get on using Gmail... I can't tell you about anything else since Gmail is the only way I can connect here.
Pokemon MMO
Has Nintendo ever even tried an MMO before? That might be part of the reason why they're holding back here.

Super Smash Bros. Melee vs Brawl.
Olimar is actually good? I never would have guessed. Of course I've barely even played the game (no one to play with) and don't read anything online, so I guess I haven't had time to find out this stuff yet.
Corrupt a wish game!
Granted. It appears in the middle of your stomach, blades a-whirling.
I wish I could imagine games, music, and art and have them appear without having to go to the trouble of actually making them.

Super Smash Bros. Melee vs Brawl.
I had a hard time playing Brawl at first. I was pretty good at Melee and the fact that I could play with the same characters against a guy who hadn't played Smash Brothers since the original and not win easily. But then I stopped playing for a few months and I came back to it I was better. I have no idea why. I'm pretty sure it's a better game than Melee, though, overall. It still feels like there are some obvious tiers, though, (can anyone actually play Olimar? Snake? ROB? Ike is slow, but does it really matter?)
But yeah, the biggest problem with Brawl? The Jigglypuff with the flower on her head is TOO RED! God, this drives me nuts, and I can't play her without the flower.

Pokemon MMO
I remember finding a pokemon MMO in-development (it might have been the one linked above) where they said that Nintendo gave them permission provided that they didn't make money off of it. They might have been lying through their teeth, but there you go.
Release Something! Day Discussion thread
It's probably because as video game designers we don't have time for such trivialities as the Gregorian calendar, answering only to the changing seasons. Plus, it's kinda cool.
Release Something Podcast
This was awesome, really got me interested in some of the games I haven't had time to play yet (that was the point, right?), and you guys should definitely do it again.
Battlesystem Code
For the dialogue, \N will do the trick if you plan on changing his name (http://www.rpgmaker.net/forums/index.php?topic=557.0). If you want the name on top above the text, RM2k doesn't have any special way of doing it, so you have to do it manually:
"Bob
I am Bob, the legendary hero lol"
or
"\N
I am \N, the legendary hero lol"
For the battle, I'm not really that familiar with the battle system for RM2k3, but if it's not present normally it's probably a custom battle system (CBS) thing, which is difficult to do, to say the least. You'd benefit from reading some of the tutorials linked to in the tutorials post http://www.rpgmaker.net/forums/index.php?topic=1337.0 (omg id 1337 lol)

How do you create sprites?
I'm not exactly an authority on making graphics, but...
For programs, if you scroll down at http://www.rpg-palace.com/utilities.php it has a link to iDraw and Graphics Gale. There's also the GIMP and even Photoshop.
Honestly though, MS Paint should generally work fine. Just zoom in (look up the 10x zoom easter egg if you have XP), find a good tutorial (someone linked www.spriteart.com/tutorials earlier and they looked pretty good), and go. Make sure you have a lot of patience and love.
