How'd you decide on a game title?
Castlevania was already taken. Fun fact: Before I chose a title, Necropolis' project folder was "Vampire Hunter." I still use the nomenclature "vh_whatever01.xxx" for a lot of the files, to keep things somewhat uniform. Generally I don't really put a lot of thought into titles, though. I think the only rule I have is to avoid subtitles.
Taking Some Time Off For Health Reasons
Good luck. Surgery sucks and I understand the fear. It took me about two years to man up and give up a kidney because I was terrified of being cut open. Whatever your procedure involves, hopefully it improves your quality of life.

No. Functionally it is different than a mana pool. A mana pool is reset at an inn.

I haven't tried it before, but I've considered making items reusable rather than consumable. Used items could be refunded at the end of combat. Finding another Potion increases the number of times Potions can be used in a single encounter.
