Hello everybody, I am Kayser (or kayz, you can look at my introduction here) and I direct a project named Koruldia with a small team (in charge of the music or various monster-sprites in particular).
Towards the end of 2008 I rocked it on RPG MAKER VX, and now the ACE update (it was a just little project on RM2000 before that, when I was young), the project up to 2008 being especially coupled with my self-educated training of various subjects to allow me to carry out the result obtained at this moment in the current phase of production.


From 2008 to 2010 I continued my various self-educated studies (especially game design and interactive narration) while carrying out the pre-production and a beginning of true concretization during 2010.

This video is about a fast technical show, and I focused on the environments and style. The next publications will concentrate more on narration or systems.

To speak about the game more precisely, there is various “documentation files” on this subject by visiting our website.
Please notice this is mainly french for the moment, any translation help is welcome, we are trying to make the project more “international” this year.

K O R U S U M M A R Y :
Koruldia is an independent video game under development on PC It is an Adventure-RPG, it gathers various gameplay trends, mainly a dominating “Pokémon-like” fight system. More precisely, it is about capturing and raising creatures for the combat in a more mature universe under a dark and complex scenario. (please take note this is NOT a pokemon fan-game) The fight system’s game design takes advantage of strategy and tactics, thanks to a process of “resources interdependence” and power struggles. One of the strongest qualities of the game is its design, hybridization between 2D (pixel precise) and stylized 3D, everything possible to serve the big point… Story.

Kayserintro

Hello,

People know me by the nickname “KaYsEr” (or Kayz) on the french Game Making community since 1999 when I was a child. I was working/learning by myself (especially graphics and game design) for a long time until fall 2008 when I decide to become more ambitious and use my knowledge for a real big project. Koruldia.


I was working on that game with RPG MAKER VX (and the ACE update now) and I will write a presentation about it on another topic.

Indie games are interesting for me, just because I am always seeking about an “author” feeling about creations, and big professional games can be really good of course, but that doesn’t mean for me we have to look only in that way.
