Busted!
(If people think that "vulgarity" is the biggest problem with this game from this review, they really need their clocks cleaned.)
I will also admit I was waiting for someone to say that, the problems I was having with this game was this:(so far I'm at the Moon Island Cave and currently stuck there...which I'm getting tired of).
Bosses...once again are overpowered, mostly their HP rating is really high up there later in the game.
Language
Puzzles can be little too hard which I ended up looking up in his forum.
The story can be written better here and there at some parts so far I've seen in this game, the concept and everything is alright, but it all leads back to the vulgarity of it and the characters purposely saying...IT'S A BOSS(that annoys me so much...I mean state the obvious).
Another culprit is that bosses area attacks which deal out too much damage especially when the computer decides to use it on you three or two times in row and knowing only one character can heal, now this wouldn't be a problem if this was a turned-based game.
Personally I give this game at least 8/10 for being a above average in aspects, just a lot of balancing issues and story telling(mostly concerning the vulgarity). Vulgarity should only be used when something dramatic or caused someone to be really angered, not flying off the hook every second like Alyssa and certain other characters, but this is my opinion not fact of course.

author=Versaliaauthor=KaliestoSometimes a game makes a horrible impression right off the bat. If you can write a review of THIS LENGTH based on "the beginning" then I don't see why the review carries any less weight. Why would someone play deeper into the game if they had this much of an issue with the beginning? If you only played ten minutes of a game and they were so unenjoyable as to make you quit, that is valid material to write a review with. You do not have to play a game from start to finish and beat the extra optional final endgame boss to judge it.
I have to admit that the reviewer only looked at the beginning of the game, and that's never a good a review and it's considered biased at best,
Last I checked reviews don't run like that, I'm not saying the reviewer is completely wrong, but you just don't judge the game as a whole just from the beginning of it. Plus you got to remember this is RPG maker 2003, not VX or XP. The standards are different for each system, and personally he's one of the few to have a rather unique beginning sequence for a Rpg maker 2003 game, but yes the beginning does need working on because of the valid points, but that shouldn't deter you from a game.
If anything, I didn't like the vulgarity so far in this game, that's the only problem I'm having with this game. Makes me not take the villains seriously.

Does anyone think this review is biased.

I thought games like this was judged based on it's content, story, and gameplay, but not based on how many hours it is and whether the beginning is any good, that's not what a review is all about. The only good thing this review pointed out was several things that has to be worked out in general.
Personally this isn't the only time I've seen a long game like this take the heat, it doesn't make sense to me with this crowd. Are most you all casual gamers(I'm not insulting, it's just a category).
I don't know what, but long games are hated on here.

It's not the fact he's being defensive which he isn't, this review really is only looking at the beginning of the game. I'm getting a good idea of what the RPG maker crowd is all about now, I think everyone just doesn't like long games because I have seen this happen before several times.
Look I was like you all when I started out FT3, but it does gradually get better. If anything do not judge a game based on hours and beginnings(I think that's stupid I'm sorry), but it's content. As far I can tell this game's content is ok and somewhat above average in some aspect of this game from a unbiased point of view. If your a casual gamer, this game isn't for you, but if you like long game like this then definitely download this.

If there was several points I have to agree are this: (so far I'm at the great Pyramid)
Sometimes the puzzles can be too hard (especially at the pyramid with the gravestones)
Vulgarity, way too much vulgarity, there really isn't any need for all of that, that could be better written.
gameplay is a little buggy, but still playable.
Sometimes the bosses are a little too hard until you figure out the trick to beat most of them. Sometime it is a balance issue.
aside from that this game is really fun and I do enjoy the story so far.

He's still currently working on it, but you don't have to play t to understand his story, they are all different.
I haven't progressed too much Stunner, but I got to the mines with a bunch of werewolves running around. I'm taking a guess they are those enemies I was fighting inside of this dungeon which is kinda odd how these ones running around are not going after me lol. Don't know if this was your intention or not.

Yeah I'm playing 2.1, I don't know what 2.0 was like. I gotta say I haven't played a fun and thrilling RPG maker game like this in a long while. Last time I played something like this was called Lost Legends..which sadly that project was lost to the bowels of the internet and Legends of Dondoran( I might have misspelled that), those other games had their strong points and weak points, but I group yours together with these in my list.
Btw if you ever want too, there are voice sets over at Sorcerers place that provide voices from various games and movies, check into those if you want to use those. (mostly for battle)
Update:
Well so far with my experience with your game since you want to know, the game I felt start off like you just want to hate on what happened, you gave that vibe pretty well. Sometime down the road it starts off like any RPG would and then starts to give you a sense of mystery, and maybe a bit horror in the mix since your enemies are something to be feared (you gave me a scare I WON'T forget you ass! LOL). Basically your game so far reminds me of a cross of Dead Space, Grandia II, and maybe a bit of the Tales of (whatever) games. It's a nice mixture and the characters are likable so far, I have yet to see the rest of the story.
Now gameplay wise, it is steep to a extent, but not too steep. Like you said you wanted to make a good quality game you see in stores. I like how you setup the magic system on which you can choose your own element and eventually work up to more if you wanted to do that. The religion system for your character Jessie is rather unique and something I haven't seen for a long time, his system is hard to figure out at first, but you get the hang of it thanks to the tutorials you provided.
Well that's it so far, l'll keep you informed.
P.S on a glitch and bug I found (it's minor though)
You know that drawf you run into in the beginning, well after you move the gravestone, but you go back to the area, the whole scene can reset itself thus creating a strange paradox, but the drawf will still have the new dialogue after the scene was already initiated.
A bug(at least I think it is) was a cave next to save point where you fight the 2nd boss and on the way to Die's Tower. You cannot enter this cave, I'm not sure if it's there for scenery or it was meant to house some kind of treasure, I thought l'll let you in on that.

Oh I have another small complaint, I know this a RPG maker 2003 standard issue, but you seem to have the skill working with the system, you think you can try to make the in-battle characters...um not so retardingly happy? It just makes the mood of the battle feel awkward or replace them with different sprites.

I gotta admit you blew me away with this story, right now I'm at the beginning of it so far...and might say this is AWESOME and...you gave me a good scare at one point which I won't say what it was lol. You were right when you said that one thing when I was commenting on Final Tear 1, this CANNOT be compared, your skills have definitely improved over those long years of your life.
I'm loving how this story is proceeding so far and I love the music and graphics...well damn I LOVE everything about it. I've noticed you made some rather difficult event scripts that's above average for rpg maker game which I was quite impressed and a custom battle system too.
I have one complaint however is the voice-acting mostly concerning in-battle, everything outside of it is fine.
It felt like your were forcing your emotion into it to make it to sound like they were serious in battle, this is common problem for most people who try to do voice-acting for a game Personally I would redo those segments and try to make them sound better, yeah I'm one of the few to give your voice-acting a chance when I turned the option on. I did like one voice-over for a boss near the beginning mind you, he was alright.
Personally I would offer you my voice for any character you desire, I don't know why I but I feel compelled to help you with this game, there's something great about this game that sets apart the others I have seen. Sadly I don't own a Microphone yet, so I can't help you. :-(
One last statement I have for this game...WHY AREN'T YOU A GAME DIRECTOR FOR A COMPANY? I would so love to this game be reborn for a console, your story is so different and superb, I love everything about this game. If you should ever dabble into the gaming industry in the future you should really try to make this game.
