Hello everyone, I do not make any games, at least not yet (Who knows what the future may hold?) but I am an avid player and appreciator of many RPG Maker games.
I do playthroughs of RPG Maker games on my YT channel, and I submit them into media here when I do. Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwqZW13u9eQiTvhqKG1L6Eg

Castle Oblivion: Remake
I'd be great to see CO3 tweaked and re-balanced in the future, for certain!
And you're welcome! I'm glad I was able to help clean up those last few bugs. I suppose that's one of the upsides to my tendency to search every nook and cranny in RPGs c:

Castle Oblivion: Remake
Yeah, no kidding, CO3's ending really took the cake, though I wasn't expecting an ending on par with that for this game, anyway. That one was meant to finish the trilogy, so of course it had to have an amazing ending. Furthermore, I had actually not played CO1 and CO2 at the time I found and played CO3, so I had absolutely no idea what to expect from the story or its characters. Well, when all's said and done, all 3 games will be leading up to that great conclusion, and the Castle Oblivion story as a whole across the 3 games will be epic. :3
I'd gladly help test the CO2 remake when the time comes, so thanks for the offer!

In particular i need help for the doors in level 7-8-9-10,( i have to deactivate light, darkness, thunder and ice hexagram ).
Here are the locations, if you still haven't found them.
Floor 7's door is near the start, in the ice cave. From the start of the floor, go to the 2nd screen of the ice cave, then go right past the chest, and up. You'll find the door just up ahead.
Floor 8's is in the Thunder Temple. Teleport to it, then head down the stairs. It's in the next room.
Floor 9's is very close to the start. As Kenlan said, you can't really miss it, as it is found along the linear path that goes on for the first couple screens. (It is possible to not walk by it, but it's very easy to spot)
Floor 10's can also be found near the start, though it's a bit tricker than thee rest. You need to go back to Vincent's house at the start of the floor, and you'll find a vine leading down. The door is a little ways up ahead...as well as something else.

@ Kenlan
I believe I fought 4 secret bosses, including.

You're welcome! And yeah, if you don't wanna put any jump scares into a horror game at all, that's 100% A-Okay. I'm not complaining :D
Also, I totally forgot about to ask about something....just who is the "???" guy in the item shop at the port? I went back to talk to him several times throughout the game, but all the way up to the end, I could never figure out his purpose. Is he part of a sidequest, or foreshadowing for the next game?

The Butterfly Witch, the knight that teaches Hans V-Slash,the ghost in the mausoleum that drops the Lost Staff for Tikal, and the ??? guy that teaches Vincent's Divine Cross move. I stumbled onto that particular one while searching for the hexagram boss of floor 10, since it was located in the same area.

Castle Oblivion: Remake
Well, I've officially completed the game.
Overall, it was a fun experience. I'm actually not sure which I like better, this, or CO3. As far as gameplay goes, this one is definitely superior, with a more balanced difficulty, and I liked how you could buy Overdrives and unlock new skills via the library. Port Town's little changes as the story progressed were interesting, too.
I feel like I enjoyed the general story of CO3 more, though. While you did a great job expanding the story of the original game here, I just felt CO3's story was much more "mysterious" and entertaining. Granted, this might be because this is a re-telling of a story I've already seen, whereas CO3's was original. I also liked the actual castle in CO3 more, as it was much larger and was kind of a giant dungeon itself.
As far as visuals go, this remake takes the cake. There's way, way more objects and environmental detail put into this. I especially like how the port town looks, for some reason. Just seems very cozy and homey. :P
Music wise...Eh. I feel like the KH soundtrack doesn't really fit the areas or characters, for the most part. However, I understand that you kept these in to make it true to the original game, so I can respect that. I'm pretty sure I heard some non-KH music which wasn't in the original game, so that was a nice surprise (unless it was and I just don't remember.)
Well, that might have been better off as a review... ._. But anyway, if I had to score it I'd probably give it a 7.5 out of 10 or so! A solid RPG, though after all that dungeon crawling I may need a bit of a break from the dungeon crawler types for a while. xD
(PS....I had no idea bosses were weak to status ailments until you told me. That helped a loooooooooooot against bosses on the last couple floors >.> Poison FTW)

Okay, a bug on the second screen of the Deep Void: Entering the small building just a bit north-east from the entrance causes you to pop out of the Scientific Residence in the upper left corner of the room.

Yeah, the Ice Temple dungeon was good. Easily the best part of the floor, and the puzzles were nice.
As for the riddle on floor 4, I'll be honest, I just solved that puzzle by guessing numbers. XD I got how to solve it properly, but I didn't feel like running around the whole room checking the tombstones again and noting what they say (cuz my short term memory can be awful at times lol) The riddle itself seemed quite good, though.
And yes, if you do make a horror game, please limit the jump scares. IMO jump scares are cheap and their effect wears off quickly, especially if you use them all the time. Maybe put in 1 or 2 good jumpscares that are built up to over a period of time, with the primary horror coming from just a generally creepy and unsettling atmosphere.
I myself would like to make a horror one of these days, though I am not experienced in using RPG Maker at all. I'm still learning triggers, but, a friend of mine is actually gonna tutorial me on some stuff, so maybe I could experiment and make a little something eventually.

Well, only a few rooms into floor 9 and I'd like to say...
My overall opinion on the floors is that most of them range from passable to good. Floor 3 and 7 were probably my least favorites, probably just because there wasn't much going on in them story-wise and they dragged a bit (but part of this is because I go out of the way to collect every item I can, so it makes some rooms take forever to clear. XD) The last part of floor 7 was fun, though, a huge improvement over the original if I'm remembering the original right.
My favorite floor up to this point was probably 4. I really liked the creepy atmosphere of the latter portion. I feel like you could probably make a good horror-adventure game (you know, like The Crooked Man or Witches House. I like RPGMaker horrors :3)
I have a few questions, but I'll refrain from asking them just yet, as the answers might be revealed to me as I play on.
Really like this one so far. The Dark Rift music from Skies of Arcadia instantly sent chills through me, and I like how it continues to play even in battle. Really sets the atmosphere for this desolate place.

author=luiishu535author=KyubeyWhoops! xD There should've been a secret room there, but I forgot to add it. Thanks for letting me know about this! I've updated both downloads of the full game so that those bugs won't occur anymore.
Alright, I think I found another bug, this time on floor 7. When you enter the top-right house in the village, it spits you out a little ways up the snowy path...This could be the castle playing tricks on me, but it seems like something that shouldn't be happening. XD
Wow, you've got pretty far since I last heard from you! Keep it up. :)
You're welcome! And yeah, I've been playing lots the past few days. Just finished floor 8 last night, actually. xD The game feels overall easier than CO3, even though I've been running from quite a few fights to save MP and get through areas faster, I still haven't really needed to grind much. Entering floor 9 at level 22.
