That looks like a triple post to me, also I've never really done something like this so it should be interesting for me and possibly slightly traumatising with how horrible it will be but it should be good either way. So far I've been messing around with Inform and it's surprisingly difficult to make some things work like teleporters for example are being evil but it will be cool when they work.

Yeah the simple stuff, and the skeleton of a game is easy as hell.. It can take a little while to get used to making more complicated stuff though.

I dont know what you mean by teleporters, but this code makes it so the player can say port to to teleport to the other room in the game.

The lounge is a room.
The player is in the lounge.
The kitchen is a room.
Porting is an action applying to nothing.
Understand "Port" as porting.
Instead of porting when the player is in the lounge, now the player is in the kitchen.
Instead of porting when the player is in the kitchen, now the player is in the lounge.

So "Now the player is in the " moves the player.



Also, should i make a theme for everyones games to be? Or should everyone just be able to make a game with whatever theme they want?

I am in, with inform 7 and a week limit :) (I have other plans to java)

Edit: Also, if there is like team work or chain story game I am more than in... maybe it would be cool two both through the year, why not.

2 Week limit. I thought we might as well aim for quality.

That chain game sounds like a good idea. We should do that at some time after this one. :P

Good too see we have at least 3 proper entrants.

OK. So.... Im going to add rules and the like the the OP.

People will have time to sign up. And if we get a few people joining, i wonder if the mods will let us have Acheivments or something... :P
