This might be the most sadistic game I have played. I hate games like this. (I should have wrote a review instead of writing this...)

Swirly The Game

The game seems to be broken for me. Maybe because I am on Windows 10.

Goaling It 2024

1. Celebrate Valentine's Day somehow - Trying to make art today that I started working on the beginning of the month but could not finish for some reason.
2. Trying to learn C++, HTML and JavaScript since I have already gone through full tutorials on them, but not retained enough information (and I am feeling much more mentally capable with recent improvements in my nutrition).
3. Try to be social somehow when I feel too absorbed in other things or upset that I did not get anything done for the 10th day in a row.
4. Try to get back into writing a journal/diary because I no longer have to avoid a deeply traumatic situation being focused on, which was the reason I stopped - it caused me to get way too upset because of how stressful and unfair things felt.
5. Become more organized with my nutritional knowledge as well as knowledge about my stories (I actually succeeded in this a little with Zim Wiki).

What weapon should drop from Satan?

What makes a good puzzle?

A good puzzle is a dead puzzle. Or maybe, a puzzle that fails to be implemented, like what Papyrus did (that was legitimately one of the best ideas in Undertale, too bad they did a crappy version/repeat of it in Deltarune with Lancer).

Boss Thread About Bosses

I have fought these two boss concepts before. Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne has Mr. Invincible. But the smart way to use the boss is to have it as a lesson to use buffs and debuffs, which Shin Megami Tensei uses a lot of. Additionally, they decided to make it an optional boss, which is really nice for the sake of whatever crazy challenge run someone comes up with.

I agree that the super attack sounds very annoying for Sleeping Beauty. Sounds very MMORPG. I guess a strong comparison could actually be final bosses like Lavos Core, where you can not even target the vitals until you fulfill a condition. You say that the minions should be normal, but I am not sure why this would be considered an important part in designing a boss.

How much lore should you find in a university library ?

I do not believe that the creator always has the most investment in something like library books added into the game. I think it is usually the opposite for any accomplished writer. The core of 90% of stories is to keep leading the reader on, making them think that there is something interesting to find so they can be impressed even if they do not finish. Usually, the ending sucks if it is a TV Show, game or book. Something like a library is usually just introduced to make a game look polished or to trick the player into thinking that the director/writer knows everything about the world and can write a competent story.

In two of the games I want to make, everything is based around a hub area (they might even be the same place at different time periods). In one of them, which focuses on the hub as the main area for growth and learning, and which is inspired by Persona, you can make time in your schedule for the library, but you can only read a passage from one book. This passage can be very long because it becomes a privilege and you are also prevented from reading anything else that day so they are not stuck trying to read whatever they can at an unnatural pace.

[RMMV] RTP Creations

I feel like the map tiles are frustratingly generic, but some games use them well. I can not think of a game that had custom tiles from VX Ace onwards. Art style in general has not seemed that good since they went up to non-pixel graphics.

Noel and the Tower of Doom

Now that I have gotten further, for some reason the start of a new environment is a dead end because the dialogue keeps looping. I did encounter a minor dialogue loop or two that actually ended earlier, but this one is definitely infinite. Once again, not sure how you decided to release a game in this state. A lot of things are good, but a lot of it is not functional and it is literally impossible to complete. And yet, you already seem to have moved onto another project despite asking for reviews for this one. Hopefully you will come and make some fixes.

Noel and the Tower of Doom

How do you not notice the problems with the music in this game??? First of all, the Tartarus theme (dungeon theme/intro theme) loops very poorly. Second and most importantly, when I got to the first boss, the music would not run. I got through the battle, but it kept showing an error message every few seconds that forced me to press the confirm button to get it out of the way. Apparently this is the normal boss theme so I might need to wait until you fix the bug before I try getting further.
