Dragon Quest +
A new remix of Dragon Dragon Quest.

GAME DESIGN:

Don't string text. 

Menu Edits:

Make menu show items, but they are transparent if on Zero...DUH! Man I'm dumb. This should speed things up a bit.

Change all story items Do this after story is complete. 

Make sure to make 3 concrete Automatics.

Think up all Trades

Edit Last Shop Menu

Think of more items that provoke exploration on the player. Like Zelda's rocks that can only be picked up with the bracelet. 

IDEAS:

Surf Board SB-2000- Allows you to traverse waters. When on the board, you cannot use the bike. You obtain the board as an Automatic item. The 3 Autos as of now are: Surf Board, Danger Glass, and something else. 

Teleportation Device: Only teleport to towns/cities. The teleport menu will be used with the numbers. It will show in your inventory but you can't use it by the menu.

When teleporting, you are dismounted from the bike, remember this. The event for dismount is called before teleporting. Also, since the teleport is not automated, you can show the area icon after a teleport.  

MX (Mach X 3000) bicycle from Goody Corp: Allows you to travel faster on land. 

Auto Move Tiles-You must add another page to party members for this. 

Ice Sliding Mechanic: There are 2 areas, Not in Ice and In Ice. When you are in the ice, you move many many spaces, more than even necessary, to move in that direction. However, the impossible moves are ignored. When you go down, past the ice, the switch is turned off and everything proceeds as normal. No bikes can be used

A Frozen, Ghost Town?

Make Menu a call and close thing instead of parallel menu

Change BP to HP.

Make Battle System more Akin to A Smart Phone with icons on the bottom most screen. x.3.


AESTHETIC CHOICES:

Draw all Major Maps out by hand before conversion so you will know what to do. Do this after story is complete. 

Change Mother 3 to Pokemon Tiles. We're going full Pokemon here. Mother is influencial to this knock off game, but it's not essential to the game's development. Plus, we have tons of fan Mother games coming out already. I want to do a Pokemon game that isn't Pokemon at all besides the graphics. Story, gameplay, and overall feel will be altered. 

Make a better title screen

Make a better ATM and Storage Bin

The overworld will be connected. All connections will be thoroughly considered. A universal tileset will be used, only changing between similar paths.

Area Icons will no longer be shown at all times. This accomodates the new connected world. 
 
GAMEPLAY:

Enemy battles will be enhanced. Instead of telling you how much damaged happened, show the actual damage. White Numbers=your attack. Yellow numbers=enemy attack. 

All enemies will have 1 attack line. 

Mattocks, still will break a rock. Each rock has its own switch as will each bush. Power rings will allow you to push a rock 5 times. This will make for some interesting puzzles. 

TEMPLATE CHANGES:

Change all characters. Make a page for your Surf Board. See if you want to increase walking speed for real. Probably not. 

Area Icon thing will be changed to only show once by passing it.
