I'm pretty sure I play way too many, and now I have a hobby of making pixels, I could also delve into sprites, which would be for free if I liked your concept and you were willing to give me a chance. ^-^

You could also try RPG Maker VX Ace Lite. It's free and it's a bit more up to date.

RPG Maker 2003 , for example, isn't available anymore, but it's still available, if you catch my meaning (This is the one everyone seems to get because it's better than RM2K and the only way to get it legally is if you live in Japan). It's just unlicensed so you can't sell anything you make. As long as you don't sell, nobody cares. Then one day when you have a little extra spending cash, you will be able to buy a copy of VX Ace and be a donor to the site, like I shortly will be.
