Tried the tech demo. I really like the battle system.
But I think the battle will feel dragged out when fighting small mobs.
Thank you for your thoughts! Yeah, I extended the battle a bit to allow some time for people to experiment. For future versions, common encounters like the serpent will be designed to be short and quick, while boss battles will be longer and more complicated.

Is there a way to leave Charlotte's spot on the map? Every time I buy the rat trap I'm stuck on her location in the overworld.
Do you mean you can leave out of her dialog and go to the overworld but can't move out of Charlotte's spot on the map? I tried playing the game to that point again but I was able to move just fine (by clicking on a different spot or moving with the arrow keys).
Could you send us your save file? We can try to see what the problem is.
Edit: I found the problem. You went to Charlotte only after first encountering the Boss Rat, which made you skip the first dialog with Charlotte. Unfortunately, we made a mistake where the overworld only unlocks Charlotte's tent after the first dialog, so you got moved to a tile on the map that is still unpassable. We'll make an updated version soon, sorry about that!
If you want to complete the game now, you can do it by talking to Charlotte first before activating the rat trap questline.

I managed to reach Jenna and did all her dialog options but it won't let me progress after that. Talking to the other characters doesn't give any new dialog, plus the objective keeps telling me to go to the city hall and talk to Jenna even though I've done that already.
Maybe this is a bug? Or maybe I'm just dumb and got stuck lol

Also, I noticed you can clip to the roof in the office map and clip past the bartender in the pub.
