Generica - [RMVX..?]
I can't actually access that without a password.
Making a wiki sounds really unwieldy. But I've never been really had experience at organizing constantly changing information for group review, so it may be more practical than I know.
All of my projects have been with small groups or solo, so I've never had to worry about that kind of thing.

RPG Maker VX. RMVX is to RMXP what RM2k3 is to RM2k; RMVX release date announced
I'd like to see the final feature list. I dunno what you can really do with auto-tiles to make them better. Easier coding is nice, but it doesn't make a difference to me unless they brought it down to 'No coding.'
Optimal performance would rock though. Lag in XP is annoying and it would be nice for games to look sharper in full screen mode.
New RTP would be nice, but hey, odds are the graphics will be compatible with XP and it can just be foisted into it.

An introductory cut scene might be a bit too ambitious if you're just starting out. It might be best to play with the engine a bit to get accustomed to the terms and engine.
Basically, to make a cutscene when the game opens, you place an event on the map alongside your start location. Set the event to 'Auto-start,' use text and move commands to act out your scene. When you want the cutscene to end, without looping the scene over again, turn on a switch. Have a second page on the event that is conditioned to occur if that switch has been turned on. Leave the event blank.
You're good to go, then.

Musical RPG?
It could be something like Mother 3 where you do additional damage by keeping rythem with the battle theme.
Talents/Hobbies/Redeeming Qualities of Some Sort

There is nothing else redeeming about me at all.
Thanks for getting this website up and running, by the way.
Musical RPG?
Some of the puns are groaners, but the idea is cute. Could be a lot of fun in an off beat sort of way, but would really need a lot of good custom music to pull off the theme. Also, a distinct visual flair would help.
Nintendo Virtual Console
I didn't like Breath of Fire 4. I LOVED the art direction and there were some great characters (Samurai Shepard dog? Cast iron stove robot? Yes please) but it really annoyed me that basically 90% of the game was filler. The plot makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE and ends abruptly. You do a freaking chasing chickens mini-game right before the final dungeon. Combat was pretty meh.
I REALLY liked the idea of Dragon Quarter on paper. Start the game over constantly, gaining levels more effectively with better equipment in a streamlined story line and opening up more and more of the game as you progress? Sounds cool to me.
Problem was that the combat system was freaking DULL and the plot just didn't interest me and after about six game overs, I decided to just forget the game altogether.
My impression of the earlier games is that they follow along the lines of 4, with a storyline taking backseat to random sidequests. I imagine this works better in a more open ended SNES title, but I've never played it.
DemonDestiny: 2 is eight bucks on the virtual console, if that means anything. Breath of Fire 1 seems to go for dead cheap in catridge form. 3 is probably tricky.
