Nintendo Virtual Console
Front Mission belongs to Square also, so naturally it isn't on the VC.
Last I heard, it was being remade for DS. Which may or may not make it stateside.
Virtual Console's official site lists all of the games currently available.
I've been tempted by Breath of Fire 2, but I really didn't like Breath of Fire IV or Dragon Quarter that much. So I'm wary. I hear the first three games are better, but still.

Sqaure Enix is probably going to avoid every opportunity to contribute to the Virtual Console. I mean, they basically SURVIVE on re-releases of Final Fantasy games right now. They just got done doing re-releases on GBA and now they're doing it on the DS and PSP. And Dragon Quest has consistently gotten lukewarm sales in the states. They probably don't see the benefit of giving us reissues of those games.
Which sucks, because it would be nice to have the original games in their original format at a fraction of the cost on the VC.
Super Mario RPG is coming to the VC, but probably only because Nintendo has more control over that than Square did.

DON'T YOU JUST HATE...
I don't think that was a knock against Seinfeld so much as self-depreciation for parroting 90s TV references.
Which is still infinitely better than parroting 4-chan memes.

It is probably some bit of news that Wii Virtual Console has import titles now. At last as far as Super Mario Brothers: Last Level, Lode Runner, and Sin and Punishment demonstrate.
I snatched up Sin and Punishment as soon as I saw it spring up on the VC, and I do not regret this. It's nine kinds of awesome. Even if the plot is completely incomprehensible and the controls take some adjusting and getting used to. Once you get past that, it's just you and a whole lot of explosions. Fun times.
Then again, I'm a hopeless Treasure fanboy. I've loved every game I've picked up by them, with the exception of Slypheed: The Lost Planet and Stretch Panic.
I'm wondering when and what sort of other Import games will arrive next. I am hoping for Terramiga, Mother, and Alien Soldier. Since technically all three have official English translations anyway.
As far as non-imports are concerned, Shock Troopers and Lufia 2 would be really nice.
Assuming some of you have Wiis, what sort of stuff would you like to see on the Virtual Console?

It's nice that you can be so forward about yourself. Some people don't even know what the hell they can do, so that's refreshing.
I can relate to the empathetic part. It wasn't exactly something I asked for, but now I'm used to it and you know, I kinda like being the go to person for things like that. Makes ya feel useful doesn't it?
I cannot, however, relate to being punctual. *procrastinates a lot*
And and and when you play games like KOTOR, do you automatically go for the light-side stuff? And have you ever tried doing evil things and just can't bring yourself to?
GTA is my exception to this. Slaughter the town. ^.^
Procrastination is divine. But usually I realize that something is really going to suck to get done, I just want to get it over with. But then again, I am lousy when it comes to forcing myself to be creative. Kentona will probably need to punch me in the face at least once while we work on Generica.
Yeah. I always play as the goody-goody in KOTOR and Fallout and any game that gives you in active choice in behavior. I'm weird in that, unlike a lot of people I know, I don't have any fun picking mean options. (Unless they're funny.)

I am a fantastic cook. At the moment i have a job as the head chef at my restaurant.
I love to play sport and such.
My favourite hobbie would probably be playing video games. I am a man that when he buys a video game he will finish it. At this moment i still hold that record.
You must be older than I imagined. No offense. Cooking is AWESOME and I find it hard to relate to people that find it a chore. What sort of restaurant do you work at?
I use to have the same attitude about video games, but I eventually decided that if a game isn't fun to play through than it just isn't worth the time and effort. Bragging rights are cool and all, but I can't take back the time I sunk into Xenogears and Dragon Warrior VII.
Generica - [RMVX..?]
Survival. As I've said previously, they have no delusions about playing heroes. Not yet, anyway. The odds are considerably stacked against them.
The may not become heroes by 'accident,' the thing is that the player will probably have some choice in the matter. If they're playing in a greedy, treacherous manner, than they might have entirely selfish reasons to take down the villain. Or the player could be a compassionate sort. That's the nice gimmick about open ended games.
I'd like for the final dungeon to be accessible from the start, but yes, suicidally dangerous. Running errands into the thick of it could be promising, but I don't think the players would have any quests like that until at least mid-game.
The original heroes coming back as a undead boss fight would probably be pretty cool. Assuming you can name monster encounters.

I can cook, although I'm rather inexperienced with baking. I still enjoy it mightily and my family seems to appreciate my taking up the chore.
I am a writer. A wonky one, but still. I occasionally come up with neat ideas.
I've been told I'm funny. (Humor is subjective, so you're the judge of that.)
I am empathetic. I love people and am usually a good person to vent about your problems at. I am capable of putting up with irritating, taxing behavior for entirely too long, so long as I don't think people are DELIBERATELY trying to irritate me.
I have a reputation for being a lame goody-two-shoes. Which I can't find all that insulting.
I'm punctual. When I have an obligation, I try to do everything in my power to fulfill it.
