That's what I thought I did, but I get an "Invalid Hero" message and then a crash. If the random number being pulled is 15, could the engine be looking for 0015 instead? (including zeros)

[Rm2k] Names in messages without IF/THEN conditions everywhere?
I have a minigame that picks a party member at random of say... 36 possible members. (not the # but there's alot) Is there some way of displaying a member's name in a message without having a separate Condition and Message box for every hero?
What I want:
Hello, (random member number)! I You have been chosen!
What I have:
IF # = 1, "Hello Alex!"
IF # = 2, "Hello Beatrice"
.....

None of my projects are 'Dead' because I use them as idea and concept practice!
One ambitious project I started has a pure good monster who used to be evil and an evil human who used to be good. The game plays out in chapters which has you playing each character as they travel through each other's realms. It was going to end with a grand battle where you pick who you will fight with and the other becomes a computer controlled boss.

BROKEN AREA:
In the Pillar map, near the entrance there is 2 pillars with no rocks. If you try to jump from the ledge above it to the pilar on the right, the event will hang and you have to shutdown the game.
