Picture formating problem
Dropping it to 256 *will* degrade the quality, though you can help it look not so bad by fiddling around with color settings if your graphics program has the options. .PNG may not be supported if there is a transparent layer, and I have never heard of .XYZ.

It starts tomorrow Sunday when you wake up. Any engine. The game has to take place in a room (though this room may consist of several "maps"). You have until Tuesday to finish.

Free map editor similar to RmVX but of course not warez?
Does XP support 32 x 32? I really don't like hacks anymore. I think I have Tiled, I have 2 generic editors but shorelines are a pain as you have to select each tile individually.
